[Day 2, EM]As the castle is waking up[Closed]
[This thread likely does not happen in the kitchen, more like someplace in the castle which may or may not be closer to the kitchen than other places.]
Raff were looking to take advantage of the sleepy bustle of things in the early morning. A man sneaking about at night would have a harder time explaining his actions than one who could easily be mistaken for just another servant carrying a bolt of cloth over his shoulder to wherever it was needed. Nobody looked twice at a servant that seemed to be doing what he was supposed to do, and in the dim torchlight of the corridors, the first look would not give anyone enough to suspect that he wasn't.

No stranger to places he shouldn't be Raff manages to elude the servants - at one point he swears he's just about to be discovered, but by a stroke of luck a squawking bird distracts a waddling servant, who turns her back to shoo it.
Raff is sure he's found a locker holding uniforms for pages, but it is protected by a simple lock (TN 9).

Raff pauses to ensure that none seem to be coming near, then he quickly slides two thin metal pins inside the lock, at the rewarding sound of the click he moves quickly to grab what he came for, careful not to disturb anything else, rolling open his bolt to conceal it inside, and then best leave before anyone finds out what might have happened. Servant's garb is hopefully something they do not care to count long as it seems there's enough to spare. And sometimes, one forgets to lock doors. Or so Raff can hope.

The flimsy lock is no obstacle to Raff - he's free to escape with his ill-gotten outfit.

Closing the door before leaving, Raff makes his way back towards the entrance, producing a sack to put the cloth he brought (and collected) into. Small details like leaving with something else than he came with certainly helped.
