[D1,LM]House Coldbrook investigates

[Daveth Coldbrook]

Daveth leads the Coldbrook contingent. Due to being near Darry lands, he'd made sure to send an independent messenger to Lord Darry (and *only* Lord Darry, or his wife) explaining that, as a gesture of respect, he was prioritising the investigation of the border incident, and could he ensure that the relevant Darry border guards were aware of their presence, as no-one wanted there to be any unfortunate misunderstandings. Couched in more diplomatic language, of course.

With him, he had Loreia, Captain Orell, Badger, a trapper, and a small number of the Company of the Morningstar, with much of the rest waiting discreetly a not-unrunnable but not provocative distance outside the Darry border. A few others were acting as lookouts, to spot trouble coming from far enough away that running was an option if needed. Frankly, he expected Ser Robb Darry to make some effort to kill him, given the convenient scapegoat of broken men, and wanted to be prepared for as many ways for him to try as possible, up to him commandeering an entire unit of the Darry military.

Captain Orell takes the lead studying the military side of things. Loreia, the trapper, and Daveth assist where they can, which isn't much.

Badger performs exceptionally well with his master and a professional trapper to guide him. Loreia retrieves a piece of pork she'd been hiding in her backpack and tosses it to her pet.
