[D2 ME] A tool for every task
Luecian waited in the location expecting the arriving men. Hoping the boys found both of em and they decided to come. Until they arrived he enjoyed the surroundings, the quiet, the peacefulness it was relaxing after the last few day's endeavors.
He did not have to wait long for one rider and then another to appear. The first was a bent old man atop a shaggy garon that rode up to Luecian and exclaimed "
What this about huntsman? I'm old to be riding around aimlessly at night."
The second man was older than Luecian but appeared younger than the first and much larger in appearance as he rode up as well.
"
Tom, Ser Raynald. Me thanks for both of you to be coming. Me mind had a some thoughts, and wanted to be sharing it away from prying ears."
Luecian lowers his voice and explains his conclusions to both men. Ser Raynald seems to understand right away but Short Tom needs a bit more convincing. After a few more words from Luecian he still seems unconvinved.
: 3d6-2 13
*Marked Reroll[1,4] for a total adjusted roll of 6[1,4,3 -2] which fails TN 10 Convince
: 2d6 5
: 3d6 15 +1(Ser Raynald assist)=16 total
(OOC-Purposely left this very vague, PM to Reader for intent. Edited to include Short Tom's roll to be clear. Damnit sorry guys, also came back and edited my Convince roll, for some reason I keep thinking Marked only applies to Charm rather than all persuasion. With this adjustment, I failed the convince roll for Short Tom. Would Ser Raynald want to try convincing him also?)

Raynald adjusted his ass on the saddle as he listened to the huntsman words. In the end of it, he was slowly approving the idea with his head. "
-I can see to that, yes. But are we a handful of washerwomen to spare every single coin? Spend the necessary silver, boy. For motivation."
-His smile was cruel, a missing tooth making it even more creepy.

But with a glance towards Tom, the older knight understood that this man would need further convincing to be part of the plan. For a moment Raynald considered what to say next. His instincts were telling him to push his dagger against Tom's throat, forcing him to man up, or to simply whistle to his men hiding in the shadows further away for them to make the man disappear, but if Raynald must start a new life with his family, adaptations must be made.
"
-This job."
-The Madman started, choosing his words. "
-It is the work of men, not boys."
-He let the weight of his voice fall over Tom. "
-And you and I are the only ones who can make it well enough. It needs to be done."
-He pulled his reins, approaching the taller man, eye on eye. -Come with me and we'll put an end to this nonsense."
