During his damage-control meeting with Ser Myles, the regent had notified Ben of a Ser Mikael Strong and his mislaid claims to both Bracken and Blackwood lands. After a quick stop to suit up properly, Ben road out to pay the knight a visit.

Willum Royce road at Ben's side. "
I take it you do not feel he will come peacefully, my Lord?"

Willum you must approach every situation with caution. If this man is willing to break the King's Law in the annexing of land then he may well be ready to break other laws. He make take offense to our arrival in combat readiness or he may submit knowing we mean to carry out our duties.

Before the two can reach the crooked tower that is the Seat of Ser Mikael they are approached by riders from the stone structure.

Ser Mikael Strong is built just as his name suggests, he comes riding, on a fine courser, from his appearance he seems dressed for war.

Equipment: Tourney lance (as a result of Lord Marsten's succesful simple intrigue), Brigandine, Shield, Courser, Longsword

The mans brown eyes rest closely over his pug nose, making him easily recognizable as Ser Mikael. Ben knew the man would be trouble, but decided to try to convince the man that a peaceful solution would have a better ending. If anything he could show Willum that options existed outside combat.

Mikael laughs loudly, his men joining in. "

Ben drives Strax forward, shield high and lance in the pocket. A resounding blow rocks Ser Mikael, Ben's lance exploding on impact. Strong's own strike is absorbed by Ben's well placed shield.

With ease Lord Marsten keeps to the saddle. Slowing his courser, he turns drawing his sword.

With a resounding thud Mikael goes to the ground. He might be strong, but neither finesse nor grace was his strong suits.

Ben looks to Willum looking on in excitement. He dismounts not far from the downed knight. He takes up a fighting stance watching the turtling man.

The man had extended some show of chivalry by choosing a duel instead of a free-for-all. The least Ben could do was return the act, by offering a yield or fair fight.

Mikael defiantly rises, but he does not draw his sword. Instead he nods to Benedict and tells him: "
You've bested me, I will give you that, but there is only one way you will have me on the ground."

Ben cocks his eyebrow, unsure if Mikael is surrendering or posturing. "
Do you mean to come peacefully or are you goading me to strike unarmed man?"


With out looking to Willum he addresses the boy. "
Catch Ser Mikael's horse, please Will."

Michael shrugs at this, as if he is uncertain himself: "
You won, fair and square. I'll come peacefully, my words are strong. Will you let me say my farewells before I come with you?"

The group rides to the tower for Mikael to say his goodbyes and make some temporary arrangements. Then continue to the Marsten pavillions, where Mikael is given a tent and set under watch.
