[D6, EN] - Tempers Frayed
Tempers Frayed
The royal investigators have done better than their foes would have hoped, bringing some measure of security to Battle Valley despite raiders and attempted insurrection.
No histories are written of riots prevented, no songs sung of revolted quelled before they can even begin, but all here have played their part in stopping the worse happening, even if only the New Gods and the Old know the truth of the matter.
Not only have the royal investigators dealt with those who would disrupt the royal peace, efforts have been made to soothe the troubled populace and the right avenues for deploying that aid uncovered. Nathaniel Mason’s efforts at Blackbuckle have shown the smallfolk they have not been forgotten, even if their lord was slow to act. Ser Jorah Holt extended a hand of friendship to the shattered septry and provided its holy brothers shelter, despite serving a house that keeps to the Old Gods. Luecian Longbow inspired the local populace and filled pots with his bow, and efforts were made by the nobles to temporarily ease hunting and logging rights to ease the plight of the lowborn. Yoren Longshore and Gwyneth Drakeson were diligent in hunting down rumours of where the greatest trouble brewed, while Daveth Coldbrook deployed his healing skills on those beneath him in birth.
Nonetheless, knights, sworn swords and levies are used to fighting pitched battles, not keeping the peace. Their commanders must exert discipline to prevent tempers fraying and undoing much of the good work the royal investigators have done.
Participants: Once per unit brought to Battle Valley, minimum of once per house. Same character may make all attempts or characters may share them within a house.
Test
Warfare (Command)– TN = 9 + unit’s discipline modifier [good discipline can reduce the TN]
[Test once at TN 9 if no units present.
Test once per unit]
Consequences
Failure: -1 influence as your troops are responsible for unsavoury incidents. Please choose Bracken or Blackwood to suffer at the hands of your troops.
Critical failure: -2 influence, -1 power as your troops cause disorder. Please choose Bracken or Blackwood to suffer at the hands of your troops.
Success: +1 glory.
Two highest totals: +1 additional glory. 10xp to spend towards Warfare specialities.
Success in this event feels appropriate for a few of the Warfare quality focused personal goals.

Re: [D6, EN] - Tempers Frayed
[OOC: should add...
- No aid/coordinate on this one, sorry.
- For clarity (core rules don't entirely match how I see them in my head):
Base TN 9, add troop type discipline modifier to TN, then adjust TN as follows:
- Green: +3
- Trained: +0
- Veteran: -3
- Elite: -6]

Re: [D6, EN] - Tempers Frayed
The 'Bold' Ser Jon Roxton of the Reach, perhaps the boldest Knight in all of Westeros, has no trouble maintaining the discipline of his men or holding them to what he expects. This motley collection of young nobles had shared many battles together and all respected him as an able commander;
some even idolized the man as a true example of Knighthood.
TN 3 (9 -3 Cavalry -3 Veteran)

+1 Glory to Ser Jon Roxton.
House Bartheld has no other military forces in the area.
This will not count toward the two highest rolls.

Re: [D6, EN] - Tempers Frayed
Baelon's Bloodriders, far from causing problems are actually noted for helping the locals in the area, defusing situations which could lead to violence, mending fences, and in one amusing instance helping an old lady get her cat out of a tree.

TN 0 [9 +3(archers) -3(cavalry) -6(personal guard) -6(elite) would be negative 3, but 0 is the minimum TN on a test]
Roll contains bonus dice awarded by Reader for Gwyn's efforts behind the scenes.
Consequences: +1 glory
(currently tied with Ben for 2nd place)

Re: [D6, EN] - Tempers Frayed
The knights would not stir any trouble, so much was clear. With the archers however, he was not that certain. Despite their training, the unit was well known from mucking up from time to time. However, never on the field of battle, where it counted.
Pesky archers, I have to make sure they don't start fighting over some card games or start a brawl.
But Ser Kevan's worry was not necessary. With a firm hand and his usual calm demeanor, he held the men in check.
Golden Arrows: 9 +3 (archers) -3 (veteran)
: 4d6k3 13 Spend DP to convert bonus die into test die, add +2 BoA = 18
+1 Glory
