Daveth decided to spend much the day before the treaty negotiations began going over books of law. There were a few tricky parts of the treaty, and if they wanted the best outcomes, they needed to be tricky themselves, and be able to cite precedents to justify it.

So, trusting no-one better than himself, he quietly sat down, and began to work.
