Damnit, you are right, I mixed up the numbers, but I meant the right battles :-)

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Are we dividing up the other units listed between battle 1 and battle 2?

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Ser Kevan, you can use my trained cavalry for battle 2, as we will need a lot of cannon fodder for battle one. You at least need twice the number of men than the defenders to be successful in a siege.
You shouldn't need a lot of troops from the NPC pool for battle 2 and 3.

Walton's Cohort, Ser Garred will not be present
So, where would You like to see Walton in upcoming battles? Storming Wyl? conquering walls begs for small scale combat though

Thanks for the offer. But I think I'll go with the units I brought (except for Black Aly's archers who would join the main battle 1)
(subject to confirmation of battle field size)

I'd prefer to have two PCs on each battle where possible
Trelane is with Jorah, so he will attach a unit, once we decide which units are there. There are loads of champions on battle 3 to face and I'd have no problems with you killing one

well, Walton wants to take the castle not because it's easy, but because it's right think to do siege battle is place where he can make best use of his talents.
"
Hero of Bonerway Pass' and 'Conqueror of Wyl' sounds pretty much like porn movies, but storming castle is definitely more exciting :;

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Well, if Walton is up for it, making a play for sending him first over the wall will be what I'll be trying to do if he/you wants it?
Else I guess Theo will do it himself after turning Wyl into a smoking ruin.
Jorah, what sort of units do you think you'll need?

Kevan is limited to 2 units, and has decided that Black Aly &Ereth Redwain wrote:Battle 2

her archers will be in Battle 1.
I think somwhere reader said that Yoren got this by default as House Longshore brought the only ships?Ereth Redwain wrote:Battle 4

To be split primarily between Battle 1 and 3, with at most one unit in Battle 4 (as Warships can only carry 1 other unit)Ereth Redwain wrote:NPC troops available:

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
He can decide to send those archers to Battle 1, we can decide they stay in reserve as I rather not put them in danger when we have NPC's troops from the Prince.
Edit: Yes House Longshore get's that battle, but it does not mean Yoren commands it. Themore might want to switch units around and have more in Battle 1 or not, just suggestions of how I would do it, and leave the other commander have at least access to 1 or 2 units to supplement theirs.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
I wasn't aware that some forces were being left in reserve. I thought Kevan's battle was the only one with a restriction on how many troops could be involved.Ereth Redwain wrote:He can decide to send those archers to Battle 1, we can decide they stay in reserve as I rather not put them in danger when we have NPC's troops from the Prince.
I figured since he rolled, he wanted a command. I suppose he's not locked into that (unless Reader says so).Ereth Redwain wrote:Edit: Yes House Longshore get's that battle, but it does not mean Yoren commands it.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
I just think an NPC will take actual command (those with Warfare 4) instead of him.
I hope Ser Kevan uses a Veteran Cavalry from those provided and put some of his troops in reserve. We might be able to take Wyll out in a single push, but I rather have fresh troops in reserve in case we need a second push or recover loses. This doesn't mean they are not on the field, just won't be used immediately to storm the walls or if we can make them leave their walls join the open field. There is just so many troops Theo can command per turn.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
You cannot keep them in reserve. If they are not on the map, they are not part of the battle, in my understanding.
I think Aly and her archers should be in battle 1 (but that is for Theo to decide if he wants her there), because she is an NPC and would grant another order per round (and b) I did not recruit her to travel through have the realm and then sit on the sideline :;
): )
Regarding the battle at sea: I would think Yoren should be the commander and not some random NPC, irrespective of his Warfare dice.
(Otherwise, we would have to replace Theo with an NPC as well...)

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Can be kept in reserve in battlefield placements I guess.
I'm partial towards having eight infantry units and a fair amount of archers to storm Wyl with. And an (expendable) cavalry unit or two for some special trick up Theo's sleeve.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
NPCs with warfare 4 are not freely available. A PC will command the naval battle, or a modest NPC.
High ability commanders do not grow on trees.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
If she is only going to be in reserve, I would prefer to have her with Ser jorah on battle 3 with at least some of the veteran cavalry.
If the siege takes longer or they take to the field, it might be that the other commanders might be able to join as subcommanders

Well, if it's for me to decide, all the champions/sub-commander I can have would be nice to put on Wyl, that battle can be anything between nightmare and cakewalk.

Tullison Cavalry
Hite Cavalry-archers
Redwain Cavalry
Redwain Engineers
Dulver Infantry
Veteran Bait Cavalry
4X Trained Bait Cavalry
10X Trained Bait Infantry
5X Trained Bait Archers

That sounds about right, to which will you attach the sub commanders?

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Sub-commanders need not necessarily be attached to units, and in our case, might as well stand on some vantage point outside enemy scorpion range...with nasty sounding war horns and giant signal flags, you know...like this:

"
Prince Aemon, you go fight up front, but we're going to stay way back here. Don't worry, you'll be fiiiine."
That battle really makes me wonder about elves. What's the point of a shield wall if you're just going to jump over it?
Also, apparently wearing armor is bad for your health. Helmets are damn near suicide.

Re: Seven Against Wyl - the arrayed forces
Well Walton wants to be first up the walls and we got 3 wealth to spend on latter or a covered battering ram.
My engineers can build anything required for the battle, and man at least a Scorpion or 2, just need to decide what to do with the 1 wealth left.
Guess we must decide what to buy for siege equipment with that 3 wealth.

Could you add Yoren and his raiders? I do not know if I am better suited for a sub commander or a hero position, but I am suited;
