[Day 1, MN]Raffish Encounters[Open-ish]
Ser had given Rafford, "
Raff"
among friends, a most intriguing suggestion before retiring to his tent, not quite an order, but it need not be. Mountain's Reach had too few opportunities for such fun as could be had. But if that was the price for food in the belly, roof over one's head and a great fire to keep warmth through winter, then it was not too bad. Nothing compared to the chance of doing some real mischief, and to go after a man most definitely not deserving of his spurs, now that only made it better, sticking it to the high and mighty was always fun. He did not make much out of his entrance, simply coming in the door, making his way over to the bar to get himself a cup of ale, on second thought, make that two right away, hadn't had any proper drink since morning. Muttering something about ser sleeping away the day and about setting up tents in torchlight. Casting his gaze over the room to appraise the clientele, loosing interest in pretty boy in the corner at first sight. A table with only one free seat would be quite ideal.
OOC: General disguise check to obscure his features so that people can't as easily recognize him later.

As for the open-ishness of this thread, it's likely best suited for drunken revelry into the late hours. Raff's course of action will be determined based on the crowd. He has a rumor to spread unless specific circumstances alters his plans.

The Drunken Huntsman is a riot of colour, with tabbards from houses great and small present.
Identifying them is hard, given the boisterous atmosphere and sheer variety of houses in attendance.
[Cunning (memory) or status (breeding) at 13 to identify those present, three rolls as various groups are present. The key parties present have rolled awareness already]

[It's generally passive awareness unless anyone have cause to suspect anything, and I guess those not fooled might need cunning-memory themselves to recognize him later, but whatever.

Re: [Day 1, MN]Raffish Encounters[Open-ish]
Most of the Inn's patrons are too busy enjoying themselves to notice Raff, but he can make out three knights, sitting apart from one another, who watch the comings and goings closely. Two of them fail to notice Raff, but he can't place their heraldry.
The third seems to notice Raff among the crowd - luckier or more observant than his peers. Raff can't quite place him, beyond a vague awareness that he's a reachman sworn to House Tyrell of the Reach.
From simple observation, Raff can tell the three knights are not allies - they have been sent to monitor proceedings by different paymasters.

Making note of the three, attempting to conceal that he does so, Raff takes his cup and sees if he can't find some Frey men to hang out with, preferably ones sitting at a table with no nosy knight in attendance.
"
I do hope there is room for one more?"
Being polite costs nothing, aside from the sacrifice of not being allowed act all superior. But the threat of a punch to the face made that an easy alternative to discard.

"
Aye, there's room if you've coin to lose at dice,"
said a boisterous, bearded man-at-arms, his fellows making way for Raff as they cry out for more thick brown ale.

"
Coin, you say?"
Raff grins. "
I have some of those, I think I'll leave this table with more of them."
he pulls out a few to match what seems to be the bet going on.
"
From the twins, yes?"

"
Aye, we're here with Ser Ben."
He raises a mug. "
To Benjen's Boys!"
He and his fellows gulp down their drinks heartily, cheering the invocation of their unimaginative nickname.

"
To Benjen's boys"
Raff echoes with a smile, halfway emptying his cup. "
The ferocious Frey, no? I have always wondered why he got that name, ser didn't know."

"
Who's asking boy? Ser ain't one of them wolf-fucking Northerners or Longshores is he?"
Raff's new gaming companion spits to show his contempt. His words underline his small-mindedness, given the scarcity of knights among the Northerners or Ironborn.

"
He's from Bronzegate in the Stormlands, where the Bucklers rule."
Raff figures that's sufficiently far away that nobody could place it on the map, he'd met a knight a in the stepstones, skewered by Tyroshi spears in 114. "
I've never been there, but ser's isn't much of a liar, so I guess it must be true"

"
Then no wonder your master ain't heard of Ser Benjen! He's a great beast of a man, I saw him cut a man clean in two during Prince Daemon's campaign on the Stepstones. Bastard Tyroshi didn't stand a chance. Routed a whole bunch of them charging alone, saved Watt's live, so he did."
He gestures to a scarred man-at-arms sitting at the table, who nods in silent testimony.
"
Name's Hamish, by the way."

"
Pypar"
Raff takes the hand and gives it a firm grip "
But my friends call me Pyp."
Winning the first round of dicing, Raff slides his winnings to the end of the table and signals for the wench to get the group a round of ale in exchange for it.
"
I shall hope that ser does not face him in the melee, else I might need to find me some new knight to serve."
Raff continues. "
You do seem to enjoy being his men?"

"
He brought most of us home safe from the campaigns on the Stepstones and richer to boot. They may mock the Freys, but our ferocious Frey took better care of us than many who'd claim to be of better blood."
"
Fuck 'em."
This earns a chorus from his fellow men-at-arms and another toast.
