(OOC: Ooops! Oh, yeah. I remember now why we're having this meeting here. Razz )

Daveth turns to Garret. "
See you later."
and turns back to Ser Benedict. "
Of course. How may I help?"

(And since I know what you want, and have no objection, I rolled my efforts here:

So that's another success to add to your total. Smile

Feel free to ask IC, however.)

"
If you wouldn't mind giving me a another hand searching for that book. I have not had much luck."
He shrugs to Daveth.

Turning to Corrine he smiles mischievously. "
Perhaps you may be of assistance as well. That scribe ... Pate I believe, would be much more inclined to help the beautiful Lady of House Marsten then myself."

"
Perhaps he's swayed by handsome men,"
she teases. "
But very well, I'll go have a word."

She seeks out Pate the scribe, and gives him her most charming smile;

"
Excuse me, Pate, is it? Would you be so kind as to assist me in finding a book?"

Daveth gives a wry smile at the request and nods. "
Of course. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, it's just part of what makes us human."
Not that that will stop me from kicking Garret's ankle about it later, however. And he carries on his prior search for the book, making a degree of progress before having to leave for other duties.

Pate was only too willing to help Lady Corrine, but perhaps being asked for assistance by an attractive young noble instead of gruff knights and devious courtiers proved a distraction, for he seemed quite wandered and of less use than in previous searches of the archives.

Well, never mind, Pate. Thank you for trying."

Corrine returns to Ben and Daveth dejectedly;

"
I'm sorry, we found nothing."
