Board maintenance/issues/features
Think I've enabled avatars. Give it a shot and let me know if anything needs tweaked.
Access to House forums to be rolled out during the week (this is fairly admin intensive and I had a work dinner tonight).

You probably need to crank up the size allowance for avatars, both file size and pixel size. The lowest I can go with the picture I have is 150x150 and 60kb when reducing size in paint before it gets too small to be much point having it.

Cheers, I've tried 150x150.

Re: Board maintenance/issues/features
Seems to be working, but file size remains restricted at 6kb.

To the right, odd that it would be to the right..we could probably go to 200x200 images before it eats space from the text field.

Re: Board maintenance/issues/features
Bumped the file size up a little.
House forums are likely to be this weekend's job, maybe earlier if I find time. The content is all there (house objectives, holdings etc) but setting them up is a pain.
While you wait, remember to keep all your character sheet work, background and answers to the key background questions (female rulers, religion, Blackwood v Bracken) somewhere safe please so we can upload it to your personal forums later.

Re: Board maintenance/issues/features
You are certain you can't bump up the file size quite a bit more?
Just enough space to cram in a shoddy 150x150 GIF.

You're the narrator, you don't get to sleep anymore.

Re: Board maintenance/issues/features
Sorry to all for not replying to messages and posting today and yesterday.
I am having a problem when logging in to the forum. Either the message "
No data received"
pops out, or it says that I am successfully logged in but when it takes me to the board index, I am not. Flushed the dns files, deleted cookies and temp files but the same thing happens. Also tried different browsers and neither of them works.

Might be anti-virus related (lots of potential sources I'm afraid, according to google - download manager etc - try setting an exception or using a different anti-virus programme?
I'll do some more research too.
Edit: one person even had it fixed by entering the equivalent of .dragonsdance.forumatic.com/ instead of dragonsdance.forumatic.com/ (with a period at the front of the address).

I've enabled username changes so you can now use the User Control Panel to update your username.

I did both things and it seems to be working, logged in 3 times without the previous problems. Thanks!

I must be blind or something. I cannot for the life of me see any way to update my user name... Pointers welcome!

Right - everyone with a confirmed house...
1) Please check if you've got a personal forum and can seen your house forum.
2) Submit your confirmed character sheet/background/key questions answers in your personal forum.
3) Feel free to add a topic with a draft goal and personal objectives in your personal forum
Send me a message if you don't have a personal forum yet.

Re: Board maintenance/issues/features
OK, so I've decided on a change of surname but - once again - I cannot get the board to accept the change. It keeps insisting that I enter and/or confirm my password, but nothing works. Reader was kind enough to fix it for me the last time, but I would like to be able to manage this myself.
So - could someone who has successfully changed their user name post a step-by-step guide on how to do it? It seems likely I'm just doing something wrong.

What I did:
User Control Panel->
Profile->
Edit Account Settings
Type in your new username of choice in the field for that.
Then type in your current password in the field for that.
Click submit.

I believe you have to re-enter your email when you change anything.

Hmm. I've changed username twice now, and all I had to do was type the new username and my current password in the bottommost field, then submit.

Hmm, was there a (hidden) password already entered in the New Password field for any of you? I always get that when I go to Edit Account Settings.
I finally managed to change my user name by deleting that, entering my e-mail again (thanks Ben!) and then typing my current password in the bottommost field (thanks Theomore and Baelon!).
