[Day 1: Mid Afternoon] Room & Board (Closed)
"
Mistress Lyra! Behold, Wrecker Jon has returned! Have you missed me?"
Jon exclaimed with a wicked grin.
Lyra Brewer, far shorter than her famous guest, stared up at him, a stern look on her face. "
Only if you've come to pay what you owe, you loud-mouthed oaf,"
she replied cooly.
"
Your tone wounds me, dear Lyra. I may not have the gold of the Lannisters, but haven't I always paid my debts...one way or another?"
Jon retorted with a smirk and a wink.
"
Drop the smirk, you jumped up hedge knight. Neither I nor my girls are falling for your sweet talk again. So pay up or I'll have Ned and Garth throw you out - famous warrior or no."
Lyra's tone remained deadly serious.
"
Oh Lyra, such harsh words for an old and valued customer..."
Jon shook his head in mock sadness. "
But as it happens, today is your lucky day. The gods have once again seen fit to bless my purse with coin, so I'll pay my debts and more!"
he continued, jingling his belt pouch. "
I believe you'll find enough in there to provide me with room and board for the duration of the tournament?"
Jon tossed the pouch nonchalantly on the counter.
Lyra opened the pouch and quickly counted the money. Smiling, she turned to Jon: "
Of course, Ser Jon, I'll clear out our best room for you at once. And will you be having lunch with us? There's a good stew on the fire,"
she continued, even throwing in a slight curtsey.
"
Lunch would be most welcome, dear Lyra. And...is Wylla available?"
"
For such an old but valued customer? I'll see to it that she is."
Lyra replied, favoring Jon with a winsome smile.
