He holds her tight guiding her head back to his chest.

I will hold you as long as you wish, but what is this of the Huntsman? You plan to attend Lord Tullison's court?"


He smiles and laughs.

[Lady Corrine Marsten]

"
Yes. Remember? He and I were talking about it at breakfast. I want to see what it's like. I've never been allowed to go to such places. I have some preparations to make first though, so you go without me and I'll join you later on, once I'm ready."

[Benedict Marsten]

"
Ah, breakfast. It seems like days ago. What with all the meetings today. Nathan, Lord Blackwood, Lord Krieger, and the troop debacle."


He lays his head back closing his eyes.

"
Lady Marsten breaking down all barriers and setting new precedents."
He says teasing her a bit, but happy she was willing to do so.

[Lady Corrine Marsten]

"
This Lady hopes to do much good,"
Corrine murmurs drowsily. "
And with my Lord beside me, I believe I will."


She idly strokes his back, thinking.

"
I hope Yoren doesn't mess things up. That nonsense earlier has me concerned. He does not seem as competent as I'd initially thought."

[Benedict Marsten]

"
Much good will be done. Now what did I tell you about worry. Yoren will be kept an eye on. Now rest your mind and eyes, love."


His hand brushes her hair with a slow rhythm.

[Lady Corrine Marsten]

"
Yes. I forgot. Sorry."


She closes her eyes again, a little chuckle escaping her lips;


"
My Lord, banning me from worrying. Why, you rule me with an iron fist."

[Benedict Marsten]

"
Hardly an iron fist."
He whispers quietly.

His hand continuing it's soothing motion. His own breath slowing.
