Personal Stories
Once we've settled the mechanics for your offseason stuff (in your personal forum) please drop the narrative in a thread in this forum along with your rolls.
For some of you, there's also a combat/intrigue or brief decision making to play out too, so leave your narrative in a place where this kicks off.

Re: Personal Stories
Says in this forum, not in this thread.
I would be surprised if he wanted all our stories in the same thread.

Re: Personal Stories
Thanks guys, enjoyed reading the starting efforts. To those who don't have the mechanics fully in place, promise to get to you soon (see AFK threa for explanation of delay!).
For those needing to resolve combat, I'll get to you too.
Impressive effort being put in to these to flesh out the background, exactly what I wanted from this. The vision for these was playing out the events for individual stories in the White Book - this lets us advance our characters mechanically and demonstrate their place in the setting, without all of you needing to be involved in the same events all the tim.
Here's hoping Baelon's "
White Book"
entry soon reads: Defend his honour in a duel against Ser Gareth Royce.
Harder for Nathaniel, given spies tend not to attract so much notice, but the "
Birth of a Spymaster"
thread is very enjoyable. I like the NPCs added to flesh the story out.
Similarly, Gwyn's no slouch when it comes to recruitment either! Let the Nightingale fly!
Wait until you guys see Yoren's story (it's the most ambitious, mechanically and IC, with significant house Power and Wealth at risk and available to gain!).

Re: Personal Stories
Hee, thanks! I should probably put in some of the other stuff she did there too. It wasn't JUST the spies. That was just the most interesting.

Re: Personal Stories
Question!
Would it be possible for Gwyn to do a little attempt to modify Daveth's work? Starting up a sort of 'side rumor' about that version being a 'corrupted' version made by feckless Green supporters, and the TRUE version being one with slightly reworked lyrics?
Thus preserving the intent of the song, while attempting to deflect some of the political implications?

Re: Personal Stories
Alternatively, Reader could rule that the rolls and checks I did caught it (IC awareness/rolls trumping OOC tiredness), and I can edit it myself. I do have a spare DoS after all.

This is how it happened, given the spare DoS.

Excellent, please make sure you and Ser Jorah note the benefit on your character sheets.

Re: Personal Stories
Quick question on the offseason activities-
Is the sum of DoS from all 4 test rolls able to be cashed in or only DoS from the final 2 test rolls( with the initial two rolls DoS only providing a bonus to the latter rolls)?

Latter. Initial rolls only provide a bonus.
