(D3 - EM) - Catching Fire
There was no evidence of what he was trying to find with Maester Arran, so he came early to visit the Bracken's maester for help and questions.
While the Warrior's Seat is an utilitarian fortress, it is still imposing to a certain point as it is designed with war in mind, not like a normal hall would be, pitty it's fields were salted, and while there was probably some way to fix it with time, it would take years to do, but that does not mean that there is more fertile land nearby they could still use, but war probably wasn't going to allow it.
Focusing on more pressing matters at hand Athelstan walks into the Warriors Seat and asks around politely as he can for the Maester were about or were could he find him. Finally after a while of looking he finds the right room to knock on and he does, in hope Maester would still be there.

Maester Humphrey is a tall, thin man, peering out from behind his door and giving Athelstan an appraising look.
"
Hmm, yes?"
His voice matches his frame, a reedy, weak sound. "
I have records of House Blackwood's transgressions to update, patients wounded by Blackwood arms to treat."

"
Well good, I would like a copy of that so I can bring it up and investigate to confirm it and have it taken into account against the Blackwoods"
nodding to the man "
I have more pressing matters that require your assistance, may I come in, it is private and important for the good of the House Bracken"

He opens the door but keeps it open should the guard be required. Royal investigator or not, the Sea Wyrm was a treacherous man, it was known.
"
Speak then - fear not the guards overhearing, House Bracken's sworn swords are good men and loyal."

"
I found Wild fire at the mines"
hoping that was enough to tell him enough to move to a more private conversation to avoid anything slipping out "
I'm here to see if there is any in your possession, of course I highly doubt I will find it, but I must check anyway"
a hint to the Maester to clean any evidence or dispose of it if he had it "
Of course, if you need my aid with cleaning the mess you have in there while you make sure you have no wild fire, I don't mind it, always happy to help"

Re: (D3 - EM) - Catching Fire
Maester Humphrey made no move to close the door.
"
Search away then, House Bracken has no secret cache of wildfire to hide,"
he rolls his eyes in something half-way between exasperation and humour.
He made no mention of the Ironborn's brazen references to "
mess"

Trying to find trace or actual wild fire

Maester Humphrey raises an eyebrow.
"
You are welcome to try young man. One hopes you have found time to study poison distillation."
"
House Bracken has been the victim of a host heinous crime - I'm not sure that the precise brand of evil visited on our people is relevant here, beyond so far as it aids in catching the perpetrator."

Not noticing any possible trace of the substance. "
Again I apologize for the interruption Maester, if you would need my help don't hesitate to tell me"
Athelstan tries to sound as friendly as possible making small talk with the Maester, to make him trust him a bit more "
Well, it's going to be a busy day I best get going, have a good day"
Athelstan leaves the Maester in peace now that he can't be blamed and House Bracken has a better chance at avoiding such problem if laid before their doorstep.

[ooc]DO I have time to intrigue him if you are not to busy?[/ooc]
