And by that I was referring to the betrayal garden joke. But I don't mind if you set up that thread as long as it's up, so thanks for doing that for me!Loreia Merrgal wrote:Feel free, I was only being sarcastic.Yoren longshore wrote:Could I set something up? hey, would any of you Ironborn like to walk with me in the Betrayal Garden?"
out loud. Yes, Out-of-Character would be the only place for such a thread.

Yeah, I am just a little cautious with replying to irony and sarcasm on the interweb, you never know if you have hit a sour note with someone or if they are only being sarcastic:) therefore I erred on the side of caution and did not reply:)

10th Month of 124AL. It seems to be coming out of winter in to spring, but judging the seasons is not an exact science.

Whoops, the title of my thread in the godswood wasn't exactly in canon with the campaign.

Works for me (and a future plot point) - the Seasons are very much up for debate. Indeed, there's a literal debate on the seasons coming up. :;
):
Some people say Vivid spring, others say brief cold snap then Spring proper really comes.
Hilariously, none of you have an PC Maester, so you'll be guessing/trusting you Maester/making your vote on political grounds.

Re: Ask the narrators
Quick canon question: can we assume Daemon and Rhaenyra lived in the Crownlands(where Rhaenyra was the ruling princess before the secret marriage) until the Targaryen civil war? In the thread for the Princess' arrival, I implied that the 'most exciting' event when asked was 'the arrivals from King's Landing'. Depending on whether Rhaenyra would be living in King's Landing or in Dragonstone at the time, what I said could be an observation or a bold insult to say in the presence of the crowd gathered to cheer for the Princess. I would like to know for clarification, and to revise if necessary to ensure that what I said is not the latter.

They most certainly lived on Dragonstone.

Indeed, they're Dragonstone based, might be old flavour text!

Re: Ask the narrators
Looking ahead, do we have many people who can enter the archery contest and expect to do even half decent? In BITW, there was only 2 PCs who did and Corrigon was injured when did it.

- We've potentially got a Ser Mather Warrens, if he starts posting (he's involved in another PbP but registered here too).
- Westeros doesn't scale to your level/abilities and it will still take place.

Are Day 1 threads going to some kind of archive soon?

Re: Ask the narrators
I noticed that Dunstan has already posted a Day 2 thread. So has Day 2 officially started?
Also, I had plans for the Late Morning slot, but may also be the Bartheld representative for the Gift Giving thread. Is it possible to manage both in the Late Morning slot?

Re: Ask the narrators
No archive for Day 1 for the moment, see how it works without one. Lets people tidy things up.
Day 2 has started (on schedule!) and the official events are up (the shcedule thread in the almanac has links to official events).

Re: Ask the narrators
So events:
Hunt:
Characters can work together or individually.
Does this mean characters can do assists and such? (And I hope you do not allow coordinate, because coordinate is a passage in the book best ignored).
The highest score character/party
Presumably, each "
party"
can only roll once per timeslot? (Even if it's a larger party with more than one character making rolls).
Pageantry:
Fighting (Spears) (12)
Does one apply AH ranks as bonus dice to this? (Assuming one rides a war trained steed, because rules says that one does)

Re: Ask the narrators
And would riding at the jousting dummy constitute a Charge, and therefore the -1D to Fighting?

Re: Ask the narrators
I'm guessing, based on the DC being the same as the others, that the 'jousting' roll will be just a simple fighting(spears) test, not a combat attack or charge action.
Is the gift giving happening in one place and time? So both the Princess and the Queen are sitting in the great hall, receiving gifts?

Re: Ask the narrators
Fighting (spears) no bonus for AH or penalty for charge.
Princess and the Queen are in separate parts of the castle, not the same room (same thread just for my convenience).
Hunt:
- Assist yes, no coordinate on this one, too strong.
- Each party can only have one main roller.

Max two assists, sorry I missed this Ser!
Better to split up or concentrate everyone on one big roll?

Depends on what sort of survival(hunt) people has.
Also, for events where the one with the most DoS or whatever gets extra credits, but with multiple abilities being tested, must one succeed on all the different tests to be in consideration?

I should add - yes, the winner should have passed all three tests (if this is normally needed to score glory, so if there's an extra test for a bonus then you don't need to have passed it).

Re: Ask the narrators
So Corrine is writing a letter to Gareth. Baelon was recently Gareth, but now he's not, so I'm wondering if Gareth the NC was renamed for the PC, or if Baelon is a completely different person? Cuz that determines if Corrine's letter is to someone away in the Vale, or to someone currently attending the tourney.

Re: Ask the narrators
I didn't know that. I'm rather confused now. I was under the impression Gareth was a separate person who is in the Vale. The way I've been playing Corrine, she definitely doesn't currently have a crush on Baelon.
