Just outside the Daleford camp, Jorah and Trelane waited for the others to arrive.

[Luecian LongBow]

Luecian rides up along Ser Jorah and his squire. He looks a bit tired and worn from the night's events still. "
Ser Jorah, hopin you be well this afternooon. I meself have a bit of tiredness that I be finding hard to shake."

Ser Jorah nodded at the hunter, whilst Trelane was reading a text whilst they waited.

Afternoon Leucian, I am well, despite last night's efforts. I understand you were instrumental in saving somebody last night."

[Luecian LongBow]

Luecian nods to the knight's words. "
Aye Ser, Meself was lucky enough to help a young knight from the flames, a Ser Adham Daleford I believe. Septon Arlyn be right sometimes...the seven work in mysterious ways as I believe it likely he be related to the young noble girl we heard gone missing the other day and started asking around about."


As he finishes he gives Ser Jorah a wink and a smile. "
Mind you he wasn't a prince of course though Ser. Your own heroics be the talk of the camps and well deserved. No small thing that, saving a royal prince."

[Loreia]

Arriving shortly thereafter is Loreia. A visible cut on the shoulder of her uniform appears hastily mended with stitches. Her grey, black-mane courser carries her more swiftly to the camp than their previous meetup, without her pet to slow her down.

Jorah, Luecian, afternoon,"
she nods in deference. "
Trelane. I must admit, our concern for the lord's daughter seems a trifle compared to the events of the day before, but I'm here if you need me."

Luecian nods to the knight's words. "

We’ll see how wise a decision that was in due course Jorah thought, he may yet want to raze the valley to the ground!"


“Well, Ser Adham I’m sure will be happy to meet his rescuer as he is representing House Daleford. A lucky happenstance perhaps there, as was mine. I was lucky to find him first."
Jorah attempted to play down

she nods in deference. "

Loreia, whilst we have much to do, we have time to at least let Ser Adham know what we have found out about his sister. Anything else he may know may assist us in finding her after we are done with our current troubles to resolve. I'm not sure Jamys will be joining us, so we should introduce ourselves."


Jorah led the group to the Daleford guards and politely addessed them.

Excuse me, I am Ser Jorah Holt of House Coldbrook. With me is Trelane of House Connington, Loreia, Shieldmaiden of House Coldbrook and Luecian Longbow of House Dulver. We would like to request an audience with Ser Adham please."

Ser Adham's guards are a sorry lot, poorly equipped despite the house's fine history and many bearing injuries from last night. Still, they conduct themselves with discipline and usher Ser Jorah and his party in, announcing Ser Jorah Holt the Just, "

and Luecian of the Longbow, "
rescuer of Lord Daleford's heir"

House Daleford's heir is a tall young man, well made and broad shouldered with blonde hair and the beginnings of a beard. His left arm is heavily bandaged, but he does not seem discomforted by the injury, or hides it well.

Ah, my rescuer from last night, a fine afternoon to you and yours."


He gestures for servants to bring water and bread.

"
A fine escort me and mine provided to be, more in need of rescue than keeping the Prince and Lord Wylde from hard."


He shakes his head in a mixture between good humour and regret.

[Luecian LongBow]

Ah, my rescuer from last night, a fine afternoon to you and yours."

Luecian nods his head to the young knight's words and delivers his graceful and slightly improving bow. "
Good afternoon to yerself and yer men as well Ser."

A fine escort me and mine provided to be, more in need of rescue than keeping the Prince and Lord Wylde from hard."

Trust me Ser, I be sure that one thing we all would be agreeing on is that the chaos in this region be much more than any of us expected when this started. Today however we be taking a short break from the local chaos to be sharing words on another topic surely close to yer own heartstrings, if yerself has a few minutes to grant us. "


At the conclusion of his words, he turns to Ser Jorah inviting the renowned knight to take over the conversation if desired.

(ooc- Since he seemed to address me felt a response was expected. Turning it over to our resident prekingsguard knight now as I think he has taken the most effort here with follow up etc)

Well, having an entire cartload of wildfire rammed into a building is not what is usually expected of an escort to have to deal with. Thankfully casualties were light compared to what could have been.

However, it was not about last night's events we came to see you. We came here about a different matter, namely regarding your sister Lily."

Ser Adham smiles, but turns deadly serious when his sister is mentioned. If he had some part in pawning her off to ease the family's financial burdens, he hides it well.

He stands up from his chair, wincing as the sudden movement causes last night's burns and abrasions to revisit him.

Luecian watches the young knight intently as Ser Jorah uttered his sister's name. He tries to appear at ease but his tired eyes track Ser Adham's movements and expression carefully.

We have looked into her disappearance and have found out she was at Shattered Rock Septry for a while. Her exact location currently is unknown, but it is our intent after we are done here to go and speak to the Septon at Shattered Rock.

We have also heard mention of a hedge knight in connection to her disappearance. Do you know of any particular knight that this might apply to?"

This is better than our own searches have uncovered so far - House Daleford lacks the reach and friends it possessed it decades past. Your reputation is well earned Ser Jorah, and it appears that I should be doubly thankful to master Luecian. if he has aided you in this endeavour. Do you intend to ride for Shattered Rock post-haste, once your duties hear are complete? My father is advanced in age, and I feel torn between my duty to him and chasing more tales of my sister."


House Daleford's heir was gracious in his courtesies, but is unhelpful on Ser Jorah's query.

Lily was well attended by our remaining household knights and had few dealings with hedge knights. House Daleford is not at war, so their sort had little cause to call on us."


It goes unsaid that House Daleford lacks the coin to employ large companies of hedge knights.

Hmm, it seems that will remain a mystery for a few days until we go to Shattered Rock. Was there anybody at all your sister was interested in? There have been rumours of a pregnancy I'm afraid."

There is a sharp hissing sound as Ser Adham sucks air through his teeth, he drops his voice to prevent his guards and servants overhearing.

Mayhap one of the household knights I just mentioned got closer than he should have. Such matters are not unknown."

Ser Erryk Vance was her sword and shield and even now seeks near and far for her. There were not many in her guard - House Daleford is at peace."


Or more honestly, House Daleford is undermanned, shattered by war and winter.

Ser Erryk is a tall man, well-made. Clean shaven, light brown har. The kind of knight a maiden would fall for. Let us have no nonsensical romances and hidden pregnancies."


He emphasises his sister's unsullied virtue, suggesting the answer he expected to be presented with by any rescuers no matter the truth uncovered.

Luecian nods to the knight's words understanding what his thoughts likely were to be on the awkward topic. "
Aye tis only a foul rumour. Folks be liking to spread all number of tales for their own interests or amusements, no doubtin this surely be one of those situations Ser. This Ser Erryk though, perhaps he might be knowing something more than he believes, a chance word or chanced stranger encountered at some point prior to the lady's disappearance. Do you be knowing where he be searching for her currently, perhaps we could follow up with him after the royal investigation be ending."

Outside the Daleford camp, away from prying ears...

The facade of duty lowers from Loreia's visage. As they leave, she rolls Adham's words back and forth in her mind. "
If we're her rescuers, our words'd be useless to Adham if his sister is with child, as the rumors say."
Seven hells, poor girl probably ran away.

Jorah kept his voice low.

Sadly, my words were true. I found out that she has lost the baby, but I suspect that there is a lot more to this story. We will need to find this Ser Erryk Vance and investigate from Shattered Rock. She may not wish to return though depending on why she left."


Trelane snorted
"
That knight is only interested in what his sister can do for his family."

Aye it won't be much of a rescue if she do not want to be rescued. Perhaps no matter why she left she does wish to return, her life away mayhaps have been a rude awakening for the girl.Either way no one will thanks us for digging too deep on the girls condition and spreading it about whether it be true or not. It may be a clue but it's best one used quietly for both the lady and her family's sake. Plus it plain just be no one else's' business."
