This was the moment the Septon had been waiting for. Catching the spear with the shield the Septon harmlessly pushed it out to the left, causing the sharp metal blade to gouge the earth like a plow. Meanwhile he brought the ball crashing against his opponents shield, causing it to splinter into kindling, a few pieces of the woods finding its way through the heavy hide armor, scratching the bandits neck. seven be praised thinks Septon Arlyn, the warrior finally smiles on me

He snarls, an viscously stabs at the Septon's midsection, who just barely caught enough of the spear with his shield to avoid being gouged deeply, with the spear almost piercing his armored torso.
Septon Arlyn grunts with the impact of the spear striking his midsection, but having expected a vicious response he had taken a moment to line up the next shot, bringing down the incense burner heavily onto the bandits chest, he feels part of the hide begin to soften through the chain as the ball makes impact.

The spear point getting heavy, the bandit hoped to leave a mark for the fat Septon to remember him by. Thrusting raggedly with his spear, the Septon catches the Tip handily and diverts it away from his body. Using the momentum generated the Septon lashes out, bringing the ball heavily over the bandits shoulder, causing it to crash into the other mans back, further degrading the integrity of his armor

The bandit sees an opertunity to exact his vengeance on this annoying Septon, he thrusts again, lunging forward on balanced stance but leaning forward with his head, penetrating the armor and digging deeply into the Septons belly, causing blood to begin to trickle down the Septons thigh like a women's gift.

Pain causing the Septon to see red, he whips his incise burner down sharply onto the back of the bandits head, causing the blood and brain matter to splatter the ground and covering the Septons new robes. Looking fiercely at the three remaining bandits the Septon tells them. "
Leave, now, take your ill gotten gains and leave this place. Prince Aemond will not be as lenient as I am."
Septon Arlyn walks stoically over to the captives, limping slightly, and pulls out his dagger. He begins slicing through the leather bindings, freeing the captives, not even looking as the bandits gather their things and flee. Septon Arlyn's face only softens as he hears the pattering of the foot pads footsteps fleeing the area. "
Are you women alright?"
he asks, with genuine worry and concern on his face. "
Are you going to be ok?"
the septon asks kindly, while the body of the bandit slowly leaks the last of its life force into the rich dark earth

The women were not alright, and they would never truly be ok. But they were still better for the Septon's presence than his absence, and his words and improbably heroics would stay with them until they day they passed.
Grim work, and at great cost to the Septon's help, but the Seven's work was not always easy or bloodless...
