Ser Kevan
: 9d6k5+1 25
4 DoS = 20 Damage - 10 AR = 10 Damage - 8 [Ser Alaryon takes two injuries] = 2 Damage
Ser Kevan skilfully finds a gap at his foe's shoulder with a backhanded cut and blood begins to stains Ser Alaryon's surcoat.
Ser Luthor Largent
3 DoS = 21 Damage - 10 AR = 11 Damage
Ser Luthor lacks Ser Kevan's finesse but the enormous knight delivers a crunching blow to Ser Crispin, who somehow does not buckle.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Trelane looked at his short sword and left handed dagger. Against certain foes, his skill at arms was sufficient, but not against the heavy armour here. Seeing Lord Baelon hard pressed, his best weapon here would be make them hesitate or flee. If he can save some of them and Lord Baelon as well, maybe today won't be as terrible as it seemed a few minutes ago."

Ser Alaryon
Slower than many of the younger men present, but still dangerous despite his wounds,
: 7d6k5-1 20 = 2 DoS [just missed 3 by 1!] = 12 Damage - 10 AR = 10 Damage
Round 3
Ser Mytros
Attempting to assist his brother in arms and kinsman, Ser Mytros tried to wear the outnumbered Lord Drakeson down and prepare himself to strike a telling blow of his own.
Lesser action: Assist Ser Dalyron.
Lesser action: Aim.
Ser Dalyron
Despite the advantage of numbers and his foe's disadvantagoues position, Ser Dalyron could make little impression on Lord Drakeson.

: 1d6 4 - In case Baelon has somehow avoided being knocked down.
Ser Maelor
Ser Maelor steadied himself, attempting to remember his training at Driftmark. His blows buffeted Ser Kevan, a credit to his master of arms but found little purchase.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
The toll of facing more foes at once than most knights ever train for, Baelon is distracted by the Velaryon guardsman's return to the fight and barely sees Ser Crispin's shield strinking at his leg. Unable to react in time, the young lord's leg folds under him, sending him crashing to one knee. Still, he is able to bring his own shield up in time to catch the dangerous Velaryon knight's heavy blade enough to prevent any real damage, but the impact is so fierce that the he is pushed backwards, the black enamel of his plate scratched clean off by the stone of the dock, looking like like wicked silver claw marks against the dark backdrop. The toes of his rearward foot just behind him just just over the edge.
OOC: lots of mechanical crunchy stuff to deal with here! I'd like to make sure I did everything right before taking my action.
In this case, it doesn't matter, as it does not impact the results - it makes a 1 DoS difference in the attack, but even the better result does not get through Baelon's AR. I have therefore treated it as a fighting assist.
KD succeeds.
Per the, that's a maneuver with a strike included (mostly affects the movement).
The attack triggers Baelon's conditional fatigue, putting him at CD 17 (10[attributes] + 4[lg shield] + 3[defensive]).
The Attack portion of LB2 is 23 vs 17, 2 DoS for 10 damage -10AR = 0 damage
The Maneuver portion of LB2 is 23 vs 20(Passive Fighting), 1 DoS for 1 yard movement, however with a Maneuver (unlike LB2 as-written) the active character does not move.
Result: Baelon is knocked down, takes a fatigue, is moved to G5, and takes -1D on all tests for one round.
OOC: lots of mechanical crunchy stuff to deal with here! I'd like to make sure I did everything right before taking my action.
It looks like the guard's assist was used on both tests? it only applies on the next test of the assisted ability, but KD and Maneuver/LB2 are different attributes so it could have been either one.Reader wrote:Ser Crispin [wrong named attached to rolls in orokos, right description)

I think you forgot his fatigue and injuries (-4 total), either way against Baelon's current CD 17 it is less than the 3 DoS needed to overcome AR.Reader wrote:Round 3

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Considering the beating Ser Alaryon had already taken, he was in no state to resist Ser Jorah's shield bash that sent him tumbling to the floor.
I will leave you to finish these two Ser Kevan, our compatriots have need of us.
He shot Trelane a look that said he was not happy with him, before moving to assist Lord Baelon and Ser Luthor, his armour

minor action knockdown
: 4d6k4 16 I can't remember if we allow powerful, but assuming not, I didn't include it. 16 is more than enough though
Move to c9, the passive hit from Ser Alaryon shouldn't do enough damage to penetrate the armour (only 2 DOS)
by the way, Ser Alaryon only did two damage to Kevan, not 10

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Baelon swings his sword in at Ser Mytros, more to get it back into position to parry than with any real belief that it would do harm, and unsurprisingly, it clatters off the Young Velaryon's armor.
He swiftly rises to his feet, but the the entire exchange has left him wearied. Still, he has made an effective anvil to Ser Luthor's hammer, with the Seahorse knights far worse for wear than the two of them. With Ser Jorah coming to join their side of the fray, there was little to be concerned about.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Ser Kevan hoping to capitalize on the opening Ser Jorah had left him leans into Maelor with his shield. The shove rocks his enemy, but he keeps his feet. As his shield arm goes left his sword slashes down to the right. The prone Alaryon can do little to cover his many unprotected areas. Kevan's blade finds one such, ending any further resistance from the downed knight in a spray of blood.

"Surrender now in the name of the King. You are surrounded." He ordered the remaining Velaryons.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
[OOC Jorah, I guessed on Trelane's precise location, but it was the shortest distance to reach Maelor without getting in Alaryon's reach. Also, because the Guard had moved, you would have had to move to F6, not F7.
Baelon had a conditional fatigue trigger, so he was at CD 17 [10(attr)+4(shield)+3(defensive)], making that 30 "only" a 3 DoS hit. That means 5 damage makes it past his AR. However, he can no longer take fatigue, so his risk is now elevated.
This remainder of this post is conditional on them NOT surrendering. If they do, none of these actions take place.]
Knocked the ground, Baelon felt Ser Mytros' sword impact his chestplate with tremendous force. He felt the steel plate buckle, but not split. He would likely have nasty bruise for a while, but he was still more or less intact. Tired, though. The kind of bone-numb weariness that against strong foes like these easily be a precursor to a bloody death. While the Velaryons had been tremendously weakened, there were still too many foes to take on the way he had been. He had to even the odds. He briefly thought about trying to push Ser Maelor off the dock, but they had been ordered to take them alive... and unlike the seahorse on the Velaryon sigil, the young knight could not breathe underwater. Instead, he decides strikes at Ser Dalyron. The young knight was already quite hurt, so it would not take much to take him out of the fight completely.
First however, he had to stand. He was so tired, and his armor was weighing him down despite it's superior manufacture. But that didn't matter. His star was still rising, he could not give in here. With sheer force of will he launches himself off the ground and onto his feet, hsis sword biting deep into Ser Dalyron as he did so.
Turning to Ser Mytros, he says, "You can knock me down as many times as you like, but I will keep getting up."
OOC:
Lesser Action: Cautious Attack v Ser Dalyron: 8d6k5+1-3 13 Ok, Orokos, fewer 1s next time.
Cautious Attack v Ser Dalyron, Lucky reroll: 8d6k5+1 23 -3 fatigue = 20 vs CD 8, 3 DoS, 15-10AR = 5 damage.
Ser Dalyron cannot take any more injuries, and is defeated.
Lesser Action: Acrobatic Stand, No Rival (+1D): 5d6k4-6 12 vs TN9 Success!
EDIT:
I'm thinking for Ser Kevan to maneuver Ser Alaryon away from him, then move to Ser Maelor and drop his sword - that way if Ser Maelor tries to flee it would trigger a passive attack and Kevan could grab him to keep him from escaping. We are supposed to be arresting them - letting him go would not look good for us.
Ser Lorent should just stand and stab Ser Crispin again to put another wound on him. He's only got a breastplate so he can stand as a lesser without a test. Also for that reason I think it's best not to have him stay prone and move to attack Ser Mytros.

[But I am not dropping my weapon in the middle of an ongoing fight :-) ]
Kevan raised his sword ready to strike again if needed. Seeing how to of the remaining opponents were lying prone and wounded, he decided not to attack again, but rather offer a chance for surrender.
"Listen to the Kingsguard, there is no other option but to lay down your weapons!"
Conditional fatigue if attacked or knocked down

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Ser Luthor Largent sprang to his feet with surprising speed for such a large man, propelling himself to his feet as much by muscle.
He hammered his blade in to the desperate Ser Crispin's neck, half severing
Lesser action: stand
Lesser action: Attack Ser Crispin: 10d6k6+1 32. Ser Crispin takes a second wound.
Ser Crispin's response was desperate but less telling, his strength and his lifeblood seeping from him for the sin of speaking the truth. Better to die an honest man than live in a kingdom of men who would take up arms for a lie and petty personal advancement.

Ser Alaryon
Provokes counterattack from Ser Kevan Lyras
Counterattack Ser Alaryon: 8d6k6+1 23 = 3 DoS = 15 damage - 10 AR = 2 injuries
Fatigue to ignore injuries
Attack Ser Kevan (aim): 7d6k4 20 = 2 DoS = 12 damage -11 AR = 1 damage
Ser Mytros desperately attempted to drive Lord Drakeson in to the harbour's dark waters, but the desperate maneuver failed, Lord Drakeson parrying the talented young knight's assault despite his aching muscles.
Maneuver (aim) Baelon: 6d6k5 16 [unsure if this should include +1 from Superior weapon, inclined to lean no but doesn't matter here].
Ser Maelor fled, with Trelane having anticipated his movements and setting off in hot pursuit.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Ser Jorah placed the tip of his sword at Ser Crispin's throat as he lay prone on the floor
"Surrender or die!" Jorah told him
"Ser Mytros, stand down. You are the only still capable of fighting. This does not need to be a bloodbath."
ooc
Intimidate: 4d6k4 11 - not great, but any bonuses for the situation?
Counterattack in case he is stupid to try something

Re: Velaryons on the docks
"Just hit him until he is unconscious. His damn fool pride made this mess, and the same damn fool pride prevents his surrender."
It wasn't hard to see what Ser Mytros' plan was - especially as he had briefly considered doing the same thing. A feeble hit or two from a much weakened Ser Crispin was hardly a threat compared to the dark waters of Blackwater Bay, dressed as he was in what could serve as a very expensive anchor for a small boat.
He circles the young knight, putting his opponent between himself and the edge of the dock. At the same time, he sends his sword crashing against Ser Mytros' helmet with tremendous force.

As his opponent seemingly was not willing to give in, Kevan attacked again, trying as Baelon was suggesting. Ser Alaryon however moved to deflect his weapon, which thus hit him in the shoulder adding a further wound to his broken body.

Re: Velaryons on the docks
Jorah has a counterattack ready on ser Crispin, so he should be taken out,
Jorah smashed the pommel of his sword into ser Crispin 's face when he swung at lord Baelon. As Ser Mytos attacked Lord Drakeson, he charged into him
"why do none of you listen?" he asked ruefully
ooc
counterattack: 6d6k5+1 24 not even accounting for him being prone that should be enough for 4 DOS - presumably he'll take another wound or 14 damage after AR.
charge Ser mytos: 6d6k4+1 16 - only 2 dos, but with +2 damage, that is 16 damage or 6 after AR - at least one injury, if not 2
