My sympathies! Same thing happened to me a week before the wedding. Just write what you feel able - let me know if you need me to chuck dice etc. Particularly for mass combat, can always give instructions for several rounds and I'll crunch numbers.

I can manage it at work today, but the battle will need dice assistance tomorrow whilst I am looking after the kids. Just need a map first to know whom to attack

I'd like to hear what he has to say as well. I think he is a reasonable man, and it's always interesting to hear what excuses reasonable men use to justify completely unreasonable things.
