The lands around Riverrun are a bearable temperature even as Westeros runs down the last days of a difficult winter. Fish still swim in the swiftly flowing but icy rivers and here and there the first plants of spring struggle to break through. Pockets of woodland provide building materials and rich hunting grounds for the locals to supplement their diets as winter stores are depleted.
