[D6,MM]The Darry Issue (Open)
(I'm not expecting people to turn up, but I am literally just wandering around chatting with people, not disguised or anything, so if you want to pop in for a chat, go ahead.)
Actually getting some more up-to-date information on House Darry was something Daveth should have done much earlier. Their claim, weak as it was, on Castle Grenward made them a threat to the Coldbrooks. And frankly, he knew next to nothing about them.
And so, Daveth was spending his morning wandering around, finding out what people knew about them. No looking for deep dark secrets, no asking about family scandals. Just the basic information about how big and powerful they are, what allies they have, what they're known for, that kind of thing.
Oh. And just how much they hate the Coldbrooks.
(Reader, if you can give me some rolls, I can get right onto failing them. )

: 4d6 14 (Woo! 2 DoS)
: 4d6 14 (Double Woo! 2 DoS again. I shouldn't be this happy about statistically average rolls, and yet, I am. )

Re: [D6,MM]The Darry Issue (Open)
House Darry seems to have pulled in its horns following the loss of Castle Grenward - perhaps unsurpring, given that it was lost when a Faith Militant rebellion was crushed.
Few protests were made to House Targaryen when it was lost - what opposition there has been has come from older houses or other families laying claim to the land. They retain their ancestral seat at Darry, and therefore are not in the dire straits other families would have found themselves in, if deprived of a castle as fine as Grenward.
House Darry would like to forget the whole damnable mess.
Talk is the family leans black, in an attempt to regain Targaryen favour and distance themselves from House Hightower and the Faith. Various other theories are offered, such as Princess Rhaenyra's (faded) beauty, debts or a plan to betray the Blacks to the Faith and Hightower's greens.
Daveth is fairly confident he has the commonly known information on the matter, although it is not impossible that House Darry supplies equipment, coin or information through clandestine channels.
[OOC: the curse of castle Grenward has infected your mind. Even adequate rolls are greeted joyously].
