"
You're going to have a hard time drinking with that scarf over your mouth, don't you think?"
Baelon says, addressing the 'mysterious' figure with a smile.

The Hunter grins back, Baelon can see from the smiling eyes, and a hand comes up to pull away the scarf, the other hand pulling back the hood, revealing that it is indeed Corrine.
"
Ta-Daaah!"
she giggles.

Dunstan sincerely hoped Baelon won't start throwing people of cliffs now, and thought about it when Dyana and the mysterious figure came. When she reveled herself to be non other than Lady Corrine he started laughing
"
Non exactly a kind of outfit I had in mind, but it will work!"
he said and shouted out orders of more ale, and blood sausages for Dyana too!

"
It doesn't really matter who I am because I didn't win anything, but I thought it would be fun to surprise you anyway,"
Corrine grins, accepting a mug of ale. "
Now that I have a taste for it, I may not hide next time."

"
My Lady will bring her own glory to House Marsten."
Ben signals for refills.
"
You Lady's are just in time to join in the toasting. Perhaps next should be to those fallen to the Faith Militant. To Green Sam and the rest."
Ben raises up, in memory of the friendly guardsman.

Baelon raises his mug in salute to the fallen.
And to those lost in previous conflicts. Best not to mention it aloud though - no need to remind everyone that we fought on opposite sides.

Corrine joins them in raising her cup, the act and her tone taking on a solemnity;
"
To those who cannot be with us now. May we have good stories to tell them, when next we meet."

"
To Ser Jon, the Wrecker, a warrior and a hero - who met his untimely end by someone who lacks the courage to reveal his face after such a tragedy!"
Dunstan raised his cup up high, sincere sorrow was visible in his eyes - the loss of his childhood hero had that effect.

Dunstan's words make Corrine stiffen, horrified. She briefly glances at Dyana, then looks away, not wanting to draw attention.
"
I... Forgive me, Dunstan, but I don't think it is as simple as that,"
she offers, timidly.

Ben breathes deep contemplating his short time knowing Jon. He had liked the man.
"
To Ser Jon!"
He swallows his drink.

Dyana raises her mug with a solemn nod, like any man who respected the late warrior and his passing. "
To Ser Jon."
The drink lasts not ten seconds as she swigs it down and finishes with a satisfied 'ahh!'. She does not look at Corrine, or at anything in particular.

"
To Ser Jon!"
Baelon raises his mug and takes a drink.
"
Dunstan, I had a good view of the situation. It was not a lack of courage or remorse that prevented the mystery knight from revealing himself. It was an accident, nothing more. These things happen from time to time."

Corrine gives Baelon a grateful look;
"
Wisely said, Ser,"
she nods in agreement.

"
Eh, Ser Jon was no slouch. I would say the Gods had a hand in his death. Which hand is the question his own or the mystery knight?"
Ben shrugs it off, topping of his drink.

Dunstan shrugs
"
Only one of the gods wears a mask over his facem to remain a stranger to the others."
he says and drinks.

So, was I wrong to disguise myself?"
Corrine challenges. "
Not all who conceal their identities do so for nefarious or cowardly reasons."

Aight, let's leave it. At least he died in battle. I have no intention to quarrel with people I find dear."

Good plan. Let us try to remember the good we have found here, rather than dwell on what went wrong,"
Corrine nods.

OOC: Consider this my official joining of the thread. If you had a thing you wanted to say before Corrine left, don't hold back on my account. Feel free to respond to this post after you've said what you wanted to say if it was important I not be present for it.
Seems some of you never let a night pass without a little,"
she comments amicably, taking Corrine's offer graciously. "
Lord Dunstan, Lord Baelon. Ser Benedict. Dyana. Too few're the times we've met this week, I think."

Another friend to share in our merriment, Sers!"

Re: [Day 9, EN] Last night (Open)
Dyana looks up at Loreia with a slight frown, noting she was the only one bereft her honorific. Whatever anyone had to say about her, she was still Lady Dyana Marsten, not some commoner with straw on her hair. I'll bet she called Corrine Lady, too. She thought grumpily.Loreia Merrgal wrote:"

She sags her shoulders, sighing to herself. Now you're just being an ass. She might be overstepping, but then again, she might only be trying to sound friendly, odd as it is to treat only my name as such. Conceding her own suspicions, she lifted a mug in a sort of greeting. "
Hello there, Loreia."
She even managed a polite smile.

"
Aye, good evenin'. My thanks for bein' my ally in the melee, ser,"
she adds to Ben, tactfully avoiding less-than-pleasant topics. "
It was an honor to fight with you."
Mayhaps I should have started with that last night...no matter, let it remain buried. "
Shame we were both beaten so handily afterward. I was lookin' forward to crossin' blades with you for who'd be the champion."
"
But I s'pose it was for the best,"
she adds, bowing to Baelon and raising her cup. She still remembered the circumstances of the night they'd met, and it seemed poetic, although he'd been illegitimate since long before she'd known him. "
Congratulations on your advancement, m'lord. I guess now I can look forward to seein' you join House Coldbrook in future campaigns."
Like the one against the mountain clans in the Vale.

"
Thank you, Loreia. I'm sorry if I spoiled your fun in the melee - I had a vested interest in not letting the two have the final duel."
He smiles.
"
I'm sure I will be fighting alongside you sooner or later, though Daveth seemed to be more interested in what Gwyn and I could do for House Coldbrook at the negotiating table than what I could do on the battlefield."

I suppose it's the sort of thing he's more used to thinking about,"
Corrine offers, amiably. "
I'm sure you'll easily jog his memory though."

Baelon smiles.
"
I think rather that he realizes that House Coldbrook has a surfeit of warriors and a paucity of diplomats. Or I should say, 'had'. It's not that he doesn't appreciate my martial talents, so much as that he recognizes that I have other talents as well - and that Gwyn brings more to House Drakeson than a pretty face. He was one of the first to sit across the negotiating table from the two of us together."
