[Epilogue, :Kevan Lyras/Sofia Blackwood wedding] Truth
[OOC: Sofia Blackwood is affectionate towards Ser Kevan, and therefore reveals the events o viewtopic.php?f=53&
t=249]
Having safely escaped the bedding ceremony, the newly made Sofia Lyras closes the door and takes a deep breath.
She fidgets with her long black hair as she speaks, but manages to retain her composure, such is her trust in her new husband and saviour.
"
Husband - I have a confession to make, the love I bear for you forbids me from holding the truth back from you, or worse yet lieing. I will not begin our marriage on such poor foundations."
She pauses, another deep breath. "
I do not come to you a maid on my wedding night. I feared my coming marriage to Ser Benjen Frey, with justification from both the beatings he had dealt me and the depths he would subsequently sink to."
She recounts the tale of her dalliance with Ser Theomore with honesty but ladylike discretion.
"
... I thought to find some heroic knight to aid me, by defeating my tormentor in some storybook duel. Recounting it, I feel like a silly girl. I beg you, forgive your wife."
"
I suppose I should be glad, between yourself and Ser Jorah I found my saviour."
She shakes her head. "
But I was not the only victim of Ser Benjen's abuses - that poor girl that the inn suffered greater degredation than Ser Benjen ever inflicted on me - my brother would have slain him or died trying, had he touched me. That poor girl had no such protection."
"
My faith in Ser Theomore was misplaced, and I fear he bears some measure of responsibility for Brenna's treatment, if I recall the name correctly. Mayhap he sought to save me in a more subtle fashion, but the price is too high to bear."
Only now does she break Ser Kevan's gaze, having resolutely held it during her confession.
[OOC: techically occurs in Riverrun, after Ser Kevan's wedding ceremony. Mainly imparting information, then response and close scene]

Re: [Epilogue, :Kevan Lyras/Sofia Blackwood wedding] Truth
At first, Kevan seems to distracted but his bride's serious tone changes that quickly. He listens intently, not taking his eyes off hers.
I knew there was more to the story...
As Sofia ends her confession, Kevan remains silent. He closes his eyes for a moment before he replies, taking Sofias hands in his:
"
What you did and with whom before our wedding is not for me to judge. All I ask for is fidelity now that we are married just like I promise you. It is Ser Theomore's role in this story that concerns me..."
his voicd trails off as thinks about all the pieces involved.

"
I am yours and you are mine husband..."
Sofia wraps her arms around Kevan gratefully...
