The iron mines above Battle Valley - description
Battle Valley itself is largely agrarian, its rich cropland well watered by the many sreams that dot the Riverlands. However, the harsher territory above holds a different prize: rich iron veins worked by House Blackwood’s industrious labourers. By historic treaty, the smallest fifth mine is held by House Bracken, with the proceeds of all five taxed.
The Targaryens are particularly wroth at events here, as damage to the mines from the warring factions has ceased production, damaging Prince Daemon’s war efforts on the stepstones and halting the flow of gold in to the royal coffers.
Investigation (Iron mines): Warfare (tactics/strategy), Knowledge (education), survival (forage/track)
