Would have like to see it with Jon with no injuries.

With no injuries, he'd tear me apart! Either way, he's making me sweat big time. I hope I managed to make my drop-shield tactic more dramatic for this fight, as opposed to hilariously consistent.

True, but Daveth may feel the Septon would be infringing on his people, so he would be the one the Septon would be more concerned about then Loriea herself

Well flagged Theomore.

One thing I like about ASOIAF and L5R is that the setting for both allows confrontations and rivalries to build through tournaments and ransoms creating repeated bouts.
Almost as interesting as the clash itself is the aftermath, as many of you point out.
Chance for some interesting scenes with healers.
If Loreia/Jon prevails, will they continue as a champion or retire? Remember that milk of the poppy can reduce injury/wound penalties.
If they retire, what will Lord Redwain declare? A new champion steps forth, perhaps a defeated knight who impressed him? Or perhaps he keeps the champion's shield in place, as occurs in The Hedge Knight?

Green with envy seems obvious in hindsight, but I don't think anyone has cracked that gag before Daveth?
Fine work by both Daveth with the scene and Loreia preparing the coat of arms.
A stirring scene that also wraps up the (player driven) allocation of a prize from story 1. Loreia was too wise to risk it in the tourney! Most green knights (and some blacks) wouldn't have ransomed it back.

Re: Awesome moments in Dragons Dance
Thanks. I was feeling very self-conscious writing that. Speeches are difficult! You have so many different factors to try and balance, and then you still have to do it 'in character' (although fortunately, Daveth isn't that hard to slip into the head of). I'm glad it's being well-received.

Indeed they are. The way I am solving that with the Riverrun trial is to make it into a narrative summary rather than writing the speech itself.
All that stuff in my private forum waiting for the mechanical bits to be put together so that it can be posted.

Narrated speech can work well for that - sometimes our PCs/NPCs are more eloquent than we are!
However, in Daveth's case he did a wonderful job in that thread.
A big weekend for many House Coldbrook PCs, although some other houses have big events coming up soon (offseason rolls made, just waiting on narrative/some final decisions).

Good guess but no.
You'll all find out very soon! Some people MIGHT be able to guess with information they have now or get via the event.

The smurfs finally just got fed up and whacked Gargamel.
Now Azreal has stepped into the power vacuum though. Have the smurfs erred? Will the new regime be worse?
TIME WILL TELL.
