Once again entering Raventree hall as he did a few days ago, Samurel took on the persona he had used those few days ago. a cleaning servant for the castle. simple white clothing in two seperate layers, all visable, carrying a bucket of water and several brushes. Not the grandest position by far for someone as clean as Samurel, but a servant must be clean, especially one needed to clean the quarters of the residents of the castle.

Samurel made his way to the personal study of the Maester, anticipating that the Maester would be occupied with his lords and the other royal investigators, what with the coming of the royal party this eveing.

Samurel is the ghost of Raventree hall - few notice his presence, and those who do trust that he is simply carrying out his duties.

Maester Arran's study lies open to him...

The Maester's study, quite a curious place for something so malicious, if Nathan's suspicions are to be true.

Taking care to first begin actually cleaning the study of minor grime and dirt, nothing too thorough, just enough so that if he is caught in the act, he can wave it off as being in the midst of cleaning the study. this would be easy enough. Taking the concoction that he had been given, Samurel begins looking for signs of where it might have the most probable result. : 4d6k4 18

Would it be on his desk or amongst his papers? maybe, though what Maester would sully his treasures so easily with a poison so vile... no, it must be hidden somewhere, amongst glass or behind books, aside furniture or behind unseen walls... if and when Samurel found suspicious location, he would inspect it with the concoction...

I think I'd rather fancy a study of my own, I wonder what'll happen to the poisoner if he's caught... such a waste of good talent...

Frustratingly, testing the potion he had been provided with on the desk and similar surfaces proved a fool's errand. Someone had done a thorough clean-up job here.

Too through.

Samurel's eye proves keener than the similarly inclined but less proficient Septon who searched this very room but hours ago.

The maester's desk and much of the equipment is either brand new or antiquated equipment removed from storage. Replacing broken surfaces and shattered containers is commonplace for Maesters, but the wholesale change on evidence puts Samurel on edge.

A more thorough search turns up tiny splinters of an older, more thoroughly used worktop, complete with the orange reaction promised by Nathaniel's concoction! Presumably the tell-tale worktop has since been destroyed, but these splinters betray the table's removal.

Circumstantial evidence at best, given its portable nature, but perhaps enough to confirm suspicions among the investigators, even if it would make poor evidence at a tribunal.

[OOC: success on the awareness roll where others had flubbed the roll.

- You'll be laughed out of a tribunal with this, but as noted above there's a lot of circumstantial evidence here]

Finishing the cleaning of the room as were his premise on being here, Samurel leaves the Maester's room cleaner then when he left it, excusing himself as he leaves the room to any who pass the room as he leaves.

Idle minds really are the Stranger's playthings, and I feel like this Maester has been quite idle for quite some time... If I find very much the same thing on amongst the other maester's works, then there can be no doubt... this feud is fuel for the wicked.
