Re: Character Creation
Daeryssa Terrick
The teenage maiden daughter of Ser Devyn. Her mother passed away a few years ago and she travels with her father now. Although no solider, she acts as her father's unofficial squire, helping to maintain his gear, tend his injuries and prepare him for combat and tourneys. She also does more ordinary chores like mending clothes. She was raised on a steady diet of her father's knightly adventure stories, so she adopts a bit of an exaggerated dainty-princess persona, because that's how the story damsels she emulates act.
She is a pretty maiden, wearing a modest dress. She has long red hair and her father's blue eyes. She has delicate features, but is tougher than she looks. She has a shy smile, and she loves to sing. She is often seen carrying her father's shield over her shoulders.
Cheerful, sweet and polite, she's good at persuading people. She views it as an important duty to keep her father's spirits up.
She greatly looks up to her father. As far as she is concerned, there's not a better knight in the world than Ser Devyn. By far the baby of her family, Daeryssa is used to following others but has become a bit more adventurous and more of a handful lately. She can be naive, as having a knight for a father and two knightly older brothers, all protective of her, means she's encountered fewer hardships than many Westerosi.
Reshuffling my stats for the lower status, but should have them up soon.

Re: Character Creation
I've been putting this character together, but she might be a bit too much?
Patience, formerly of Pennytree
Age: 49 (Middle Aged)
A former resident of Pennytree, Patience ran a shop that ostensibly was her husbands, but in reality she was the true brains behind the business. In the first attack on Pennytree her husband and elder son were killed, and her daughter carried off. In the second attack on Pennytree her store was set afire, and collapsed killing her younger son and severely injuring her leg. Rendered homeless, she has decided that if she cannot live a life of peace by normal means, she will at least make an area of stability, even if she has to resort to violence and intimidation to get it. Not being particularly violent or intimidating herself, she has gathered together a band of roughnecks to be her enforcers, and has come looking for a place to resettle.
Goal: Security

Vice: Wrathful

*Cries* Father, Jorah's ruining my fun.
Hmm, looking back at the rules, I'm not sure if I qualify for hedge knight status 3.

Re: Character Creation
Looking over the sheets...
Jory has one too many benefits. Max at start for a Young Adult is 3.
Griff paid normal for Status so is over by 30 attribute xp.
Maester Brant is missing his age-required drawback, and does not meet the requirements for the Maester benefit. Note however that the Maester benefit is not required to be a Maester.
Patience is aged at "
Old"
but mechanically is a mix of "
Middle-aged"
and "
Old"
. Oops! She is now miraculously three years younger, and a few attributes have been adjusted down to accommodate the reduced attribute XP. Also lacking money.

For some reasons, I thought there was a drawback for bad eyes. Flaw:stealth-obvious instead
Yoren was alright with Master of Ravens acting as one of the knowledge focuses. If that changes, I'll change Master of ravens to knowledge focus geography

Re: Character Creation
Yeah, I wish there was something less than total blindness/deafness as a drawback, but there isn't.
Well, Flaw(awareness) qualifies I guess, though that applies to all sense modalities.

Hm, correct. I'll drop talented (fighting) and keep the more interesting ones.

Great! Now that all the characters are ready I'll set up something tomorrow (saturday). Feel free to interact with each other too, the days will be divided as in the normal game, only with more of a focus on the grittyer aspects of westeros.

Re: Character Creation
I'd like to throw in and see what I can do in this little campaign, hope I'm not too late.
Gordon Wells
Age 16, Young Adult
Role: Rogue
Gordon lives in Battle Valley. His father raised pigs and his mother chickens - and him in between. When father died in winter, the lord gave the farm to someone else, and his mother took him and went to live with his uncle, who drove a corpse cart. Gordon had been to the tourneys, and would still attend for years to come, picking pockets and luring knaves into bets on the tilts, which they rarely won. It didn't take long before his mother and uncle put two and two together between the days he came home with money in his pockets or bruises. Beyond preach the Seven-Pointed Star, there was little that his uncle could (or would!) do to his nephew by the time he found out, as Gordon had reached the age of majority then. And he would say nothing to the priests, as he did not wish to see the information reach the ears of any authority who might pass judgment on his brother's son.
On one occasion when he was caught and an attempted beating was made by his mark, Gordon and his mark threw themselves at each other so clumsily, that onlookers thought it was a street performance and threw coin at their feet. Gordon took advantage and continued the assault(if it was ever in doubt whether his attacker would continue), yelling outrageous things to flavor the spectacle. as they each walked away with more money than they began the day with, Gordon turned his thoughts toward the clean talent he had discovered in himself, and began practicing as a mummer. Now he performs at tourneys(only within his area in the Riverlands), and avoids doing so between to spread the coin out and avoid being targeted, but Gordon is not content with using his talents to earn money for both him and his family.
Appearance
Thin-lipped, green eyes, brown close-cut hair. Appears to have cut it himself. Strong jawline, low cheekbones. Has hair growing in on his face, but not as quickly as a man grown - yet. He is of a short, wiry build.
Background: Gordon performs at tourneys when they pop up around him in the Riverlands. He was present for the tourney at the Twins, and performed a street routine every other day in the tourney at Riverrun. You might be able to call his first-ever, accidental performance a significant feat.
Goal: Wealth
Motivation: Fear
Virtue: Humble
Vice: Ambitious
Agility 4 (Acrobatics 1B)
Awareness 4
Deception 3
Fighting 4 (Short Blades 1B)
Persuasion 3 (Charm 1B)

Humble and ambitious seem like strange traits to have both of. Mister wells is an odd duck, he should fit in well here.

I've thought about it, and I've decided to change his Vice and Virtue. The idea is that he's an undignified rascal, but that's not the same as humility. So...we're going with Courageous and Avaricious. There's not many Virtues that apply to him.

I'm at the smith's, but I'm going to need someone to do the talking (who will probably learn something whether or not I do). I'm planning on doing this unseen without meeting Carsen at all. Gordon's first pick would be Jory...
