Then I suggest the three of you figure out what sounds reasonable (and fun) to come out of it.

I will neither confirm nor deny House Drakeson being well stocked in wildfire.

Or just answer my A,B, and C and see how it goes. Unintended consequences can be fun, and are a big part of the theme of the books.
Sometimes what seems bad ends up being fun, sometimes what seems fun ends up being boring (or worse).

Mercenaries - question is largely resolved by the fact we've handled hiring mercenaries IC, rather than abstracting it.

Cleaning up one's own messes is never as bad as cleaning up a mess someone made to spite you. Even if it is the same mess.
Besides, how well did messing with others work out for you before? Right- blackmailed and almost eaten by a dragon. Mess making may not be the kind of fun you can afford, yeh?

Re: Mechanical discussion
I think all of you should enjoy some praise for brutally suppressing a peasant rebellion. Many of you at least managed to focus on the suppressing part, Theomore a bit more on the brutal element.
You'll all be lined up against the wall (and crossbowed?) when the revolution comes!
Remember Battle Valley! Remember the Green Door Inn!
Okay, maybe not an inspiring rallying cry, given the victims were largely stablehands...

well, if a fight breaks out at the festival, there is a completely sober kingsguard who is fully armed
and we only suppressed the violent. we actually helped out the rest

Indeed, I tease. Your honorific is well earned.
As noted previously, I quite like the contrast between you, Theomore and Baelon. Latter is a bit greyer, particularly in story 2 with smuggling Ser Hugh Rivers out, claiming the Dornish treasure for himself etc.

For clarity, Corrine is not exactly trying to hide, but she is trying to seem casual to an outside observer.

Since when has truth stopped propagandists?
Well, not exactly for himself.... we presented it to Prince Aemond so that he would slaughter the Dornish rather than the smallfolk of Battle Valley... and then he took it.Reader wrote:claiming the Dornish treasure for himself etc.
Even Baelon isn't a Black partisan enough to let hundreds or thousands of innocents be slaughtered for political gain (imagine the anti-Green propaganda that could have come from that slaughter though....).

If weapon bonus dice don't apply, then I think it would logically follow that weapon quality would not apply either.Reader wrote:Maneuver (aim) Baelon: 6d6k5 16 [unsure if this should include +1 from Superior weapon, inclined to lean no but doesn't matter here]

If you wanted him dead all you had to say was I think he was just undressing your wife with his eyes. Otherwise I don't just run around killing people. It just isn't right.

Do we expect XP for offseason before moving into Story 3?

Xp from offseason activities as normal if you use the DoS for speciality XP option:

Aerion Coordinates in Coldbrook hunt
Aerion's roll would give the assisting player +1 under our current house rule on Coordinate. Normally an assist by him would give a +1, assuming his Survival is less than 4 (which it must be, given he's elected to assist/coordinate rather than roll to hunt).
In this case, for players specifically with a Will of 3, can we allow 1/2 Will to round up instead? It's that vs just assisting instead. Thoughts?

I would make the cumulative penalty steeper. -2.
I would also introduce Endurance Rank as a factor. Someone with an Endurance 3 will tire faster than someone with an endurance 5.
So, someone with an Endurance 3 starts taking the penalty on Pass 4. Someone with an Endurance 5 won't start taking the penalty till Pass 6.

I think the idea was to apply penalties evenly to all jousters, so that it would not penalize some existing characters more than others.

I like the idea that endurance has an effect on ability to last. It can give some different tactics as those with low endurance have to decide whether to go offensive early to bring the match to an end, or people with more endurance can try and sit low as tire the opponent out. It would also split up the skills more, giving people like loriea, who is more of a generalist, a better choice against specialists while not making endurance too powerful

Re: Mechanical discussion
I feel like Endurance already affects things in a longer fight, though, with the free CYB action every pass.
