Once more into the breech. Ben and Ellie return to the great labyrinth that is House Tullys library. This time they are intent to mind their manners and be more fruitful in their labors. Having eliminated certain avenues yesterday with Master Daveth, they begin anew.

OoC: Open to any one who might reasonably be in the library. Conversation may ease the sting of that failure. :;

After attending Sept, Corrine decides to explore the castle a little. She wanders into the library, keen to see the famous Tully library for herself. She is indeed impressed, gazing around at the wealth of books.

Upon seeing Ben and Ellie milling around, she greets them with a warm smile;

"
Good day. The library is marvellous, is it not?"

Ellie gives a short curtsy. "
It is, but if you would pardon me my Lady I have to see a man about a book."
She darts off dress hitched in her hands. Ben reaches to grab her, missing. "
Ellie wait you ..."
She has disappeared around the corner.

Ben turns back bowing formally. "
Lady Corrine, you have grown, and ever more beautiful. It is good to see you. And yes this is a marvelous place and daunting."
His eyes pass over the enormity of the place.

"
And you have grown ever more charming, Ben,"
Corrine replied with a curtsey and a flattered smile. "
It is good to see you too. Was that your sister? I thought I saw a resemblance."

"
Yes that was her. She will kick herself when she finds out who you were. She has been obsessed with you ever since I told her of you."
Ben scans the room for any sign of Marsten escort guards. "
What brings you to the library My Lady?"

"
Just exploring. Mother has been like a clucking hen since we arrived, so I have taken this opportunity to have a little time to do as I please,"
Corrine replied. "
Why is your sister obsessed with me? I'm flattered, though rather surprised."

At the mention of Lady Isobel Ben stiffens a bit. "
Obsessed is a strong word, more a fascination. She is a very curious girl. She has a 100 questions for every situation. And your situation as female heir has filled her with twice as many questions."
He gives her a reassuring smile.

"
Ahh, I see,"
Corrine nods. "
Curiosity is a fine trait, it breeds knowledge and wisdom. I will endeavour to answer what questions she may have. Perhaps, someday, I will not be so unique in my situation. But I digress. Are you well?"

Yes I am doing well. I have recently sworn my sword to my cousin Dunstan Tullison and will be residing in Mountains Reach."
Ben genuinely seems content. "
And you My Lady have the mountains been kind."

They have, thank you. I understand Lord Dunstan to be a good man and a fine warrior. I wish you great success in his service. Though I know you will do well. You have always been determined and strong. I'm sure you will set a good example to many. Do you intend to participate in the tourney events?"

Ben looks a little surprised, as he looks about the room again. "
Yes I will be riding in the lists and fighting in the melee and possible others if time allows."
Once again his eyes wander about the room. "
Are you truly alone. No guards or septa?"
He looks once more on Corrine seeing her as if for the first time, grown into the beautiful woman she is. His stare a little longer than appropriate.

She followed his gaze around the room curiously.

"
I am genuinely on my own, Ben. As far as I know, at any rate,"
she added. "
I'll be found eventually, but in the meantime, I get to have a bit of freedom."

She noticed his rather long stare.

"
Are you alright? Or do I have something on my face?"

She briefly touched her fingertips to her chin with a questioning look.

Ser Jorah entered the library, a place he was ill accustomed to being. The library was small at Castle Grenward and most of the books were generally being read by Daveth at any given point. He was looking a book regarding strategy. Daveth had mentioned speaking to House Tully's scribe, imaginatively known as Pate the Scribe, who might be able to help.

He spotted Ser Benedict in the stacks alongside a young woman. 'That must be the sister Daveth mentioned' Finding Pate the scribe, he got his attention;

"
Excuse me, I am looking for a copy of the Stratagems of the Andals. I was told you were the man to speak to as you know these stacks like the back of your hand."

I'm realising that Ser Jorah hasn't been interacting with enough people

"
Oh, no. Nothing on your face. Forgive me for being ill-mannered, but like I said earlier you have grown up."
He looks down slightly embarrassed. Then remembering she was alone he looks back up with a look only a big brother can have. "
Your mother will be very upset if she finds you unintended and even more so if you are found with me alone."

Whilst he waited on the squire, he remembered what Daveth had told him about a knight and his sister looking for a book amongst the shelves.

"
Ser Benedict isn't it? Daveth told me about you."
He held his hand out in greeting, before he turned to Corrine,

"
and you must be his sister Ellie. You are taller than Daveth indicated."

"
Yes, I am Ser Benedict, but no this is not my sister Ser."
Ben thought hard on whether to properly introduce Corrine or hide her identity for her safety and quickly decided she was grown now and deserved to be treated as such. "
This stunning young"
He cast a quick smile to Corrine. "
woman is Lady Corrine Marsten. Besides a companion of Daveths who might you be Ser?"
He accepted Jorah's hand firmly.

Ser Jorah's heart sank;
he had just mistaken the heir of House Marsten for the sister of a knight. He bowed before Lady Corrine.

"
My humble apologies, Lady Corrine, no offense was meant,"
he offered his apologies, "
not that being Ser Benedict's sister is anything to offended about, but I should have realised who you were."

He shook Ser Benedict's hand firmly in return, before bowing again.

"
I am Ser Jorah Holt, sworn knight in the service of House Coldbrook, captain of the garrison at Castle Grenward and protector of the heirs of the House."

Ben smiles sincerely. "
Aye, master Daveth is a knowledgeable fellow and was very helpful to my sister and I yesterday. And no offense is taken by me. I believe Ellie would be flattered to have Corrine mistaken for her."
Again he shoots Corrine a lively smile. "
It is a pleasure to meet you Ser Jorah."

"
Apologies for the short introduction, Ser Jorah, but I should take my leave,"
Corrine said, with a hint of genuine regret behind her politeness. "
My mother will expect my presence soon."

She gave Jorah a respectful nod, and Ben a warm smile;

"
I look forward to seeing you in the tourney events. Do give my regards to Ellie."

With that, Corrine left the library, sapphire blue skirts swishing on the floor as she glided gracefully away.

Ser Jorah thought for a second, wondering if he had interrupted something important there and maybe it was best to change the subject.

"

He smiles as he exaggerates looking for Ellie. "
But I would gladly keep you company in your search and maybe charm said scribe for his assistance in the future. I am glad to see I am not the only warrior who knows not everything is learned in the practice yard."
Ben sweeps his hand across the broad room.

I would welcome a fellow scholar of the warrior arts. I'm not used to a library this size,"
