Story 1: Blacks v Greens
When two tribes go to war, go to war...
Blacks: 6 (Tullison gift, Marsten Gift, Singing contest, heated debate, grand ball, melee champion)
Greens: 5 (Maester's conclave, joust, Ser Benjen's trial, Greens &
Blacks brawl, champions' feast)
Post with any changes to the scores or if I've made a mistake.
Champions' feast +1 green score.

The greens have slightly the better of the skirmishes than mar Lord Tully's tourney before order is restored.

Re: Black v Greens
Prizes of all sizes!
War scored higher than peace (in Greens &
Blacks) and the general mood of the tourney was one of violence and intrigue.
One prize per point and several prizes are tied to overall point total.
This thread might be helpful for checking NPC status. Only NPCs can be targeted with prizes and will be subject to negotiation/alternatives - viewtopic.php?f=65&

start=20#p28229
Prizes in italics are offered to the Highest scoring house from their faction first, then second highest etc. If not accepted by any house, the Highest scoring faction allocates the prize. Each house may only receive one prize in italics.
Houses can bid to move up the table by spending three glory per place.
Black scoring (highest first) - note that if Lorei wins the Melee, Coldbrook &
Tullison will tie
Marsten
Tullison
Coldbrooks
Green scoring (highest first)
Bartheld
Dulver
Longshore
Black Prizes (6 points)
- To ensure peace, the King orders a Green of status <
= 5 will be sent as a ward to a Black House.
- A Green of status <
=5 is killed/maimed at the tourney (may die several months later depending on narrative whim). Black players to vote on target.
- A squire of status <
=4 will be fostered with a Black supporting house. Note that this is a friendly move, unlike the "
Ward"
above.
- The unit of green cavalry attracted by the Princess's Black Banner to the campaign against the mountain clans is upgraded to Regular quality, as more talented knights flock to your cause.
- The next office of state awarded is likely to go to a Black (+3 to appropriate intrigue rolls if necessary until next Black appointed to small council/Kingsguard).
- A suit of extraordinary armour (+1AR, -1AP) or a Superior Dragonbone bow. Note that the armour will be customised with a mix of your personal heraldry and Black faction iconography - wearing it is quite the political statement.
Green Prizes (5 points)
- To ensure peace, the King orders a Black of status <
= 4 will be sent as a ward to a Green House.
- A Black of status <
=4 is killed/maimed at the tourney (may die several months later depending on narrative whim). Green players to vote on target.
- Access to House Hightower's maesters provides a +5 bonus to two knowledge checks (needs to be something the Citadel can be consulted on).
- A squire of status <
=4 will be fostered with a Green supporting house. Note that this is a friendly move, unlike the "
Ward"
above.
- The religious influence of the greens will see a black house criticised by the Faith for heretical/unorthodox behaviour, inflicting a minor scandal on that house.
[Updated for Greens moving to score 5 - Maester knowledge bonus now has two uses, squire of status <
=4 instead of <
=3, fifth reward added]

Why are longshore green? I've been careful not to pick sides, I'm a coward that way

Re: Blacks v Greens
Yoren, Leifnarr's initial actions made you green tinged, but you can reject your prizes and move back to neutrality if desired. A canny political move, or will House Longshore fall alone?
Important note for all: no killing/maim Mushroom or taking him as your ward.
Leave my poor fool alone.

Would be fun to kill off a random Black, but I think my father would have my head for it, so I abstain

Re: Blacks v Greens
All prizes from both lists will be allocated whatever happens - they've been unlocked by points earned and the war score. The only thing in question is the identit of various targets and which PC houses get which prizes (the ones in italics).

Re: Blacks v Greens
So if the peace score were higher than the war score, prices would have been given out as well, but less 'drastic' (i.e. no random killings etc)?
Kinda cool to see how the PC actions through these scores drive the overall story

That is indeed the case. Peace wins, no fatalities. Glad you like it. War score bolstered by bait of glory and 1b brawling.

Re: Blacks v Greens
Black houses,
Looks like House Marsten has selected a squire, so House Tullison is next to select from the remaining two options in italics.
Also, remember to vote for who you'd like to see killed/maimed (pretty stark written out like that!). House Marsten has voted already in their private forum.

Hmm. Speaking of Mushroom, it looks like the Champion's Feast was left out of the scoring.

I've got it open to tally up today/tomorrow. Will unlock an extra prize for the lucky winner.

Re: Blacks v Greens
House Bartheld takes a squire from House Hightower.
House Dulver takes the hightower Knowledge option.
House Marsten selects a squire, Willum Royce. He's young, but already has a reputation as a fine swordsman.
House Tullison took the ward option.
House Coldbrook takes the armour.
Think that wraps this up as Longshore are staying neutral?
Ser Rickard Thorne is sorely injured while seeking Prince Aemond Targaryen during the rioting, and seems likely to eventually succumb to his wounds, perishing as a kindsguard should, from injuries earned protecting the royal family. Some note that Prince Aemond did not seem to require much protecting, such was the prowess he displayed in rescuing. Speculation on who will succeed him is rife, with knights from Black supporting houses considered most likely, ruling out the talented "
spare son"
Ser Jon Roxton or his fellow green Ser Alayne Tarly. Some note that Ser Jon's appetites make him an inappropriate choice anyway. Ser Jorah Holt is the name on many lips, along with Ser Harrold Dark and Ser Adrian Redfort.
Billy Burley, the prodigiously skilled bowman of House Burley and the champion of the archery contest has little time to enjoy his victory, stabbed in the confusion and robbed of his victory purse. [Nobody cynically killed off Black Trombo to try to save Prince Daeron Targaryen later! Kudos to Nathaniel for noting he was deliberately avoding this stunt with Ulf the Hammer..]
