[D5,EA-EE]The other hunt continues (Closed)
(OOC: As could be expected for something that takes place over 8 (!) hours, this doesn't all take place in the kitchen. In fact, it takes place all over. I'm placing it all here for the sake of putting it *somewhere*.)
Okay. This is it. Time is short. But I have enough pieces of the puzzle to start asking the right questions, figure out what it is Ser Theomore's up to this time, and stop it before whatever it is comes to fruition. Hopefully.
As before, Daveth is in his Javik disguise.

(OOC: Wow.)
It shouldn't be this easy to slip into someone else's skin. I shouldn't feel more relaxed when I'm hunting a deadly knight as a spy than I am as 'me'. I doubt that says anything good about me.
Dismissing the thought, Javik begins this round of investigations. The leads he'd already dug up gave him a good starting point for looking into Ser Theomore's activities, particularly focusing on connections to the whole rotten Frey business. He didn't believe the theories of his mystery informant about Ser Theomore's motivations - it didn't gel with what else he'd been able to uncover. But he couldn't figure out a better one. But if he could somehow dig up enough evidence to connect Ser Theomore to the affair, it might be the perfect shot he was waiting for.
And so, again accompanied by Pietr, Javik spends the day hitting the streets for the information he was after, spreading coin where needed.

(OOC: screw it. I'm on full DPs, this is an important roll, and I've got a 50/50 shot of getting up to 3 DoS. Spending a DP.
: 1d6 3 replaces the 1, brings up to 18. Grrr! Fuck it. I'm supposed to be his nemesis, so let's act like it. spending a *second* DP to turn the bonus die into a test die, bringing the total up to 19, 3DoS. Wham, bam, thank you, and goodnight.)
Finding people with the relevant information was only half the fight. You then had to cajole the information out of them, getting them to remember things they didn't realise they noticed at the time. Javik was polite and friendly, easy to talk to. And they did.

Daveth's disguise may be disconcerting, but it is nigh impenetrable. Has he become the monster he hunts? A thing of deceit and treachery? His cause his noble at least, as he seeks his half-brother's killing. Daveth's keen mind works overtime, plotting journey times, cross referencing who saw who and when.
The evidence is circumstantial, not kit for a lord's court or the a holy inquisition, but Daveth is sure he has the truth of things.
From conversations with servants and guards, he can place Lady Sofia Blackwood and Ser Theomore together at the start of the tourney, then disappearing in each other's company. Guards that evening can place them together, with a significant gap before lady Sofia returns, poorly concealed by contradictory tales of visiting the Sept or Godswood. Most curious. It is clear from Daveth's informants that the pair have not fitted Ser Benjen up - his crimes are his own. However, knights and noble ladies seldom seek out of the way places for no reason. This leaves Daveth with a knight potentially seducing a vulnerable young noble lady - or was this some plan of Sofia's, to engineer an escape? It leaves Sofia's marriage prospects damaged and Ser Theomore despoiling an ally's daughter.
Then there is the tourney, and the same page that his sources have reported on several times already. A trail of subterfuge, going back for days. Daveth is ready for whatever either of them pull next, if they are so bold.
If not, the weight of the evidence of an affair weighs on Daveth - incendiary information, but with a vulnerable young women at the heart of it.
[OOC: You can't spend two destiny on a roll, but you can spend one for a additional clue, so we'll count it as one spent.]
