Re: Melee groups
Nb - this is not the result of a complaint and I'm very grateful for pcs helping out on this. All fault rests with me.

Ser Jorah is the beneficiary of this, anyone else who lost out (round 1, two attacks from NPCs) tell me please, but couldn't spot one. Fixing this tonight.
I think that was my fault. Sorry! I didn't realise it was an issue at the time, and had an odd number of people.

Not at all, my fault for not being clearer!

Re: Melee groups
How will we handle the fatigue? It takes 4 hours for 1 point to go away, and several players have accumulated enough for a -3 to -4 penalty, not accounting for injuries. Will victors move onto the final melee with their penalties from fatigue kept? If so, that final combat could go on for some time. A lotta hit and miss would be happening.

true, but also people will not be reducing their armour penalties either, so I think it will pretty much even out

Re: Melee groups
No rest for the wicked/fatigued in the final, sorry.
As Septon said, armour penalties mean damage is still reasonably possible. We got a decisive result in BITW final, confident we'll manage one too.

Re: Melee groups
Our finalists!
- Ser Baelon Waters, the supposed Bastard of Prince Daemon Targaryen - skilled enough to defeat Athelstan Pyke in a trial by combat, but cautious in his progress thus far
- Ser Loreth Lansdale, rumoured to be amongst those considered as Kingsguard material
- Ser Benedict Blackthorne, having overcome his opponents with adroitness and poise. Lady Corrine Marsten's husband to be (as far as the crowd was aware!) was making a name for himself in his own right.
- Loreia Merrgal, a robust Northerner, but thrice fold unpopular with the crowd for the sins of being both a woman, a Northerner and succesful
- Ser Jon Roxton, named "
Bold Ser Jon"
for his exploits, but exhausted and injured from a ferocious duel with Ser Bryndon Hightower earlier in the melee
All three PCs earn +1 glory for making it to the final.

Re: Melee groups
How does this look for a map?
Positions 2 and 5 are one space further apart than any other pair, but other than that everyone would be evenly spaced.
Doing some randomization...
: 1d5 5 1d4 3 1d3 1 1d2 1
5 of {LWRMB} = B ,3 of {LWRM} = R, 1 of {LWM} = L, 1 of {WM} = W, 1 of {M} = M
L= Ser Loreth Lansdale
W = Ser Baelon Waters
R = Ser Jon Roxton
M = Loreia Merrgal
B = Ser Benedict Blackthorne

Re: Melee groups
What about Derrock's group? How do we have 6-7 groups and narrow it down to 5 contenders in the final?

As a late entrant, Ser Derrock gets one glory for winning his mini-group and then gracefully bows out as previously discussed with him (assuming he wins).
He's won the blasted joust already and wasn't planning on taking part in the melee, but I talked him round.

Re: Melee groups
Updated to include additional glory for the Champion and some cash prizes.
Final prize awards
- Ser Baelon Waters, the supposed Bastard of Prince Daemon Targaryen - skilled enough to defeat Athelstan Pyke in a trial by combat, but cautious in his progress thus far +2 glory (finalist &
champion), 50 Gold Dragons &
a superior quality longsword: the guard is painted in a gaudy gold leaf and the pommel is a River pearl, but the weapon is superbly balanced and holds its edge well
- Ser Loreth Lansdale, rumoured to be amongst those considered as Kingsguard material
- Ser Benedict Blackthorne, having overcome his opponents with adroitness and poise. Lady Corrine Marsten's husband to be (as far as the crowd was aware!) was making a name for himself in his own right, +1 glory (finalist)
- Loreia Merrgal, a robust Northerner, but thrice fold unpopular with the crowd for the sins of being both a woman, a Northerner and successful +1 glory (finalist), 20 Gold Dragons &
a superior quality shield (+1 to attack rolls as normal for superior quality, but chief virtue is its harder to break)
- Ser Jon Roxton, named "
Bold Ser Jon"
for his exploits, but exhausted and injured from a ferocious duel with Ser Bryndon Hightower earlier in the melee +1 glory (finalist)

Re: Melee groups
I feel like I'm gonna regret asking this, but have any dispositions of any named NCs moved since my success in the melee? How about PCs? I assume the general populace is mixed, some being indifferent and more than a few at -1.

Well, Dyana thinks you're pretty damn respectable. Not sure if disposition improved, but it certainly didn't decrease.

Re: Melee groups
Oh well, doesn't matter, I have been bestowed the title of "
The Warrior's Shieldmaiden"
in Greens and Blacks! Ha, that'll show you southron NCs!
I think our little chat over Jon is fated to happen at the Champion's Feast. I'm still trying to figure out how I'd handle it, since Theomore and I are working out a similar situation. If you did manage to make it to the Final, I'd have gone straight for you to hear how the Knight of Stones would answer to an accusation of murder.
