Um, I noted in the post above yours that the bolded letters in the initiative order list match where you are on the map, so you're A and you're in square I4. Also, you should be able to scroll on the map, unless perhaps you're having the problem that Baelon describes [url=in this post][/url]?

[ooc]I see now, nice! I couldn't scroll at first for some reason. I assume I have Tyron and Benjen to my sides, not a very happy thing for me... since the Mallister is on the other side, I will challenge him to a fight in the hopes to get me off Ser Benjen and Tyron[/ooc]

OOC: Go for it! Since you're first in the initiative order, go ahead and post your actions for Round 1, then I can get the NCs rolling as well and Ben can do his thing. Smile

Also, may I ask you about your CD? In your trial thread, you listed it as 10, but here it's 11. Is one of these an error, or has something changed since the trial to boost your CD?

[OOC: This is where your speed will be an advantage. Each square (including diagonals) counts as 1 yard. With Movement 4, you can move up to 4 squares with a lesser action, or sprint up to 17(?) squares as a greater action. Also of course you can use the charge greater action to move up to 8 squares and make an attack at the same -1D and +2 damage (same as the joust). You can definitely reach Jaime Mallister with a charge - the farthest any two opponents start is 6 yards apart.

Sprint calculation: 4 [Movement] * 5 [Fast running modifier] = 20 - 3[bulk] = 17 [/OOC]

OOC: What Baelon said. It does look like if you want to attack Jaime Mallister in Round 1, you can only reach him either by charging (Greater Action), or taking a fatigue point for an extra Lesser Action so that you can take two Move actions (2x Lesser Action) and then a Standard Attack or Cautious Attack (another Lesser Action).

Reader's house rules state that you cannot use fatigue or DP to get "
extra"
attacks, but he has clarified for me that it's acceptable to take your fatigue/spend DP before the last action you want to take on your turn. E.g., if taking a double move and then an attack, you could declare using fatigue for the first move, then take the other two Lesser Actions (second move and attack) as your normal actions.

Good plan, but unfortunately you rolled d10s instead of d6s, so I can't let that attack count. You need to roll 6d6k3 for it to be legal.

Jaime Mallister's base CD is 7 (I'll post the NC stats shortly), but remember that he can spend fatigue (can be done at any time) to ignore his AP, which would raise it to 10. Reader has instructed us to use the NCs fatigue freely, so it's a good chance that he'll do that if you roll well and doing so would affect the outcome.

choice of prey is no surprise to the crowd, but despite his nickname, Lord Bracken is a canny warrior - he advances quickly towards Tyron Blackwood, but it is no headlong rush. His greatsword flashes forward in a lightning blow and Ser Tyron raises his shield to turn it aside, but it is a feint, allowing Bracken to close and trip his opponent. He finishes his attack by thrusting his sword two-handed straight into the now prone Ser Tyron.

At the last moment, Lord Bracken manages to bring up his greatsword, partially parrying Ben's attack. Instead of hitting squarely, Ben's blow slides off Bracken's blade to strike his foe's right foot, causing Lord Bracken to grunt in anger and hop back slightly.

Spends 1 Fatigue to ignore AP, raising CD to 14. Ben's attack drops 1 DoS (21 - 14 = 7) for total damage 4 (2 DoS x 7 = 14 - 10 = 4).

OOC: For those wondering about Tyron's roll, Reader has decreed via PM that two opponents who have knocked each other down both get the +1D to Fighting even though both are prone.

[OOC: However, per the house rules when wielded two-handed the battleaxe has a 1B training penalty. It doesn't really matter in this case, as even dropping that 6 only lowers it to a 30, so still 4 DoS]
