The Septon Nods his head as he was listening to the tail, his double chin wobbling slightly. As Benedict pauses the Septon reaches out and claps Ben on the shoulder with his large hand. "
My Son,"
He begins, "
The warrior would be proud of your actions. In acting out towards Garret you had shown your strength or arms. However, "
He changes the tone of his address, "
You are about to become Lord Marsten, as a Lord you are held to a higher standard. What would have served you well as a disciple of the Warrior is no longer the skillset you must use. You must begin to emulate the Father, whom is the God Of judgment. Now tell me my son, what do you know of judgments? What qualities would you think make the best judge?"

Justice! What do I know of judgment? There is a crew of pirates in the Drowned Gods realm that may answer for me.

Ben looks to the nearest pew. Then back to Septon. "
May we take a seat Septon."

Ben glances thoughtfully to the septon, awaiting his blessing to sit.

Lets sit."
As they make they way over to the pew and have a seat the Septon follows up on the answer. "
Those are all good things. However how about mercy?"
The Septon gestures up to the stature of the mother. "
Do you know why The Mother sits to the right of The Father? It is because The Mother will intercede with the Father, granting us Mercy for any crimes against the Gods we admit to. However that is for those whom admit to a crime. If we refuse to admit wrong doing then The Father listens to the Wisdom of the Crone in setting our punishment."

You must forgive me Septon. My knowledge of the Seven is limited to the ramblings of my old gran and the much ignored Septa of House Marsten. I should have know that though."
He seems amused that he missed something so obvious.

The Septon smiled, pleased that his words had found such fertile ground. Lady Corrine certainly will have an easy time teaching this one. Even though his predilections lean towards violence he does have a good heart and a quick mind. He may make a good consort yet. "
It may be good to listen to your Septa then, maesters do not hold a monopoly on wisdom."
Septon Arlyn begins to laugh at his own joke. After he quits laughing he speaks to Benedict plainly. "
I would suggest going to find your future wife. She may be in need of support today. That cut on her leg, Although not deep, may pull slightly at the stiches today as she attempts to move around and a man with a strong arm may help support her as she walks."
The Septon gives another grin. "
So go gallant knight and help your noble lady."

Ben smiles and stands with some stiffness. Then he departs. Stopping shortly at the Father.
