[Day 3 - MM] - Blackbuckle investigation (closed)
Early in the morning, entire Tullison family headed to the village of Blackbuckle, to witness the horrors others spoke of the day after.
"
Yve, will you pelase try to find someone to talk to?
Uncle, what in the Seven Hells could cause this?"
Dunstan attempted to organize the delegation so they would start working immediately.

"
Well, the king's letter suggested poison, and that is the reasonable explanation I would imagine."
Theomore tied a scarf over his nose and mouth, more to protect against the stench than any fumes, that sort of thing would not linger according to the maester. Not a comfortable sight this, though the last time he had visited Blackbuckle, himself and Lord Bryan, Ser Bryan at the time, had surrounded Bracken troops entrenched within it's huts, with Lord Haig's uncle commanding them, and no matter how formidable the beast was, his uncle was even more terrible in battle.
On Theomore's suggestion, Ser Bryan put Blackbuckle to the torch, and massacred the screaming Bracken men as they fled the flames. The sight did haunt him for some time, but like all his other demons, it failed to take hold. Theomore had always done as he must, as a loyal man should. But he did not take any pleasure from the pain and suffering these acts caused, as a monster would.
But who could possibly do this without being a monster? The only end Theomore could ever see himself do this in pursuit of would be the utter vilification of a house, and it would certainly keep him awake at night. And was even he that ruthless? Not many could be. The monsters who would do this because they could, because they thought it good sport, because they would delight at seeing the world burn. The work of one man, most likely, perhaps indirectly sanctioned by the lord he served. It was easy enough to find men depraved enough to carry out the execution of the task, but the man that provided the means and the plan, that man was likely alone.
