I am exceptionally pleased at some of the very interesting narrative that is coming out of this from everyone. My only regret is that 99% of the time, Nathan has no idea who is at his own party.

Well with the way Nathan isnt hiding his face PCs could totally just have a conversation with you and it could come up who they are.

At the same time, you do that and he could certainly use that against you if he wanted. After all, Nathan's never hid this side of himself before, so knowing his identity won't give any of you any leverage if you wanted to combat the possibility of a blackmail situation.

It's not the sort of thing my coming-along-nicely character would go to (unless ordered, for some reason), but it has been neat reading how everyone's interpreting their die rolls and stuff. Nice work!

I am glad you decided to attend after all. This is exceptionally good narrative.

D'aww, thanks. You'll make me blush.Nathaniel Mason wrote:I am glad you decided to attend after all. This is exceptionally good narrative.
I figured it would be fun to harness my "oh man, oh man, I've gotta make a first post somewhere, oh man" and roll with it, in-character. So instead of jumping into a fight with some bandits or something, I'd make my first post somewhere my character would be ill at ease and uncomfortable, himself. Voila! Win/win. Hopefully Reader can edit in my die rolls or whatever (especially the Alertness roll to try and unmask Ser Alayne Tarly, it was amazing). Aerion did better at some purely social stuff than I thought he might, so that was fun (even if Attractive never once kicked in, on all those Persuasion rolls I made, boooo!).

You could always just post the dice results, without linking and edit it in later.
And yeah, that's one of the best PC introductions that we've had.

I wasn't sure what the etiquette was on that sort of thing (I didn't want anyone to think I was pulling any numbers outta my butt or anything), so I defaulted to punting and making it Reader's problem. I'll just do that, though, and copy in the rolls, sans links, for now. I hadn't thought of it.Theomore Tullison wrote:You could always just post the dice results, without linking and edit it in later.
Thanks! Like Liam Neeson in Taken, I don't have money, but I have a very particular set of skills. Posting here will be fun and help keep me sharp for work. And yeah, that's one of the best PC introductions that we've had.

Amazing costumes, people! Corrine, I especially like yours! Carnivals and the macabre tend to go together like Reese's peanut butter. And amazing post, Aerion, I can see why it deserves mention, particularly the glimpses into the character's mind.

Thanks! It quite ably illustrates Corrine's conflicting feelings of being drawn to the debauchery, as it's like an exotic other world to her that makes her curious about what she is missing from having been so sheltered, and genuine fear that satisfying her curiosity is damning her in the eyes of the Seven and trying not to think about how she's going to hell.

Yee! Thanks.
I still want Gwyn to have a turn with Nathan, by the way. Just need to focus on a few threads at a time here.

That's a cracking post Gwyn. I try to make enigmatic remarks at parties too, but people appear to have stopped inviting me to them due to my overpowering charisma and mysteriousness...

Telling people you've got new socks on isn't enigmatic.

Long lost sister, nice touch.
Conflicted about whether I want Theo's masked adventures on-screen or not. I have a feeling that I don't really want to depict how any scene with him turns out. Plus, initiating seduction intrigues, that too.
Reader greenlighted a Marq Mooton cameo though, so maybe I manage to get around to finish that up. Also starring Mushroom.

PM me with Mushroom involvement so I can rubber-stamp it.
I promise not to let Mushroom anywhere near the stamp.

"Sublime," he finally settles on, lips almost brushing hers as he says it. "Anything else you'd wish for us to do would be sublime."
See this? For me, this qualifies. Holy shit. It's beautiful, sweet, funny, oddly poetic, and, in the immortal words of Pam Poovey, "Sploosh.".

Re: Awesome moments in Dragons Dance
Two pretty girls complimenting my writing and veering into Archer quotes?
It's appreciated. I've tried to walk a fine line with him, between adoring these knightly ideals, trying to hold himself to a higher standard (because people expect a bastard not to, and he has to prove them wrong), and...uh...well, being a horny dude at a horny age, who failed his roll to not get falling-down drunk (which lubricates the poor-decision-making process). I'm glad he's coming off as a mixture of funny, sweet, charming, and conflicted, because it's what I'm shooting for (and also a little clumsy about it, because I'm trying to keep his stats in mind during all of this, too, and he's no master schemer).
