Knight moves (Joust, Round 2) Empty Knight moves (Joust, Round 2)

Somewhat revigorated and encouraged by his victory over Ser Davyd Hunter, Ser Alfred entered the jousting lane to see who he was up against this time. Again, he picked up the lance, makes sure he was in a good position in the saddle and, after a short look over to the stands, focuses on his opponent. Once the signal was sounded, he urged his trusted horse towards the other contender, lowering the lance and aiming at the centre of his opponents shield.

The first round had weeded out many of the weaker competitors, the going would be tougher from now.

Ser Symon Tully was resplendent in Tully red and blue, his pauldrons picked out in a fine fish scale detail. He'd ridden down his first opponent in fine style and seemed intent on doing so again.

[OOC:

1) Remember you can declare your jousting stance before you make your rolls
2) you can spend destiny here if desired, but it will count against your story 3 total]

Ser Alfred's aim had come off and he felt the lance gliding off the intended section of the shield before shattering. Ser Symon Tully's hit, however, was flawless. The impact had enough force behind it to knock him out of the saddle and so Ser Alfred hit the ground like a sack of flour. His chest hurt considerably. After the first daze had worn off, he staggered to his feet. He choked and had to cough, taking off his helmet for some fresh air. It felt like some ribs had been broken. Knowing how coughing up blood felt, he put his helmet down and spit the blood out, clutching the railing as a spell of dizziness overcame him, but he was determined to leave the field on his own two feet. He saluted his victorious opponent and made his way to his tent with the assistance of the squire.

[Test to stay mounted failed, would take 24 Damage + another 8 due to being unhorsed if my numbers are correct, so I'm taking one wound to avoid defeat.]

Sel Alfred had been defeated, but he bore it nobly. Ser Symon dipped his lance in salute to his opponent and enjoyed the plaudits of the local crowd. He made a keen study of his opponents, and was all too aware that the situation could easily be reversed should the two men face one another again.

Still, the tilt was Ser Symon's and his purse would swel from the day's ransoms.
