The Knight of Stones appears on the next day, supple and quick as ever on his rounsey. After tapping the front of his shield, he proceeds through the jousting grounds with a raised fist, then turns his concealed gaze towards the Kingsguard. This would surely be a difficult match, and he'd need to try his best not to take a destabilizing hit from Ser Erryk.

Ser Erryk Cargyll is resplendent in the white cloak of the Kingsguard, having arrived at the tourney as part of Princess Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon's escort. His twin brother, Ser Arryk shares in the glory of being a member of the kingsguard, but thankfully for the other tourney participants, only half of the famous duo is present. The golden duck of House Cargyll that adorns his shield is not the most intimidating crest, but Ser Erryk's personal abilities more than compensate.

He makes a show of honourably saluting the mystery knight before charging.

The mystery knight and the Kingsguard clash, the latter's resplendent armor and cloak outshining the former's modest attire and unimpressing sigil. Both lances shatter in an impressive display of equality in skill - or was one of them holding back?

Ser Erryk keeps his saddle with the elan one expects from the Kingsguard.

The Knight of Stones fetches another lance from a boy in dirty clothes, then sets his sights down on Ser Erryk another time. He rides much as before, taking special care not to let his guard down. He knew he couldn't win a game of attrition, and was unlikely to make it through without a good strike, but being hurt or unhorsed would prove fatal to his performance.

This the time the clash doesn't show as much parity. The Kingsguard gets the upper hand, shrugging off the mystery knight's shattered lance as he delivers a vicious blow with the tip of his own tourney weapon. The Knight of Stones nearly reels back on saddle, and though he isn't unhorsed just yet, he leans to the side after producing his third lance. Not quite able to mantain his previous posture, likely due to some injury on the arm or shoulder, he rides high and aims low, hoping his chances to get even aren't completely depleted.

[OOC: Going to take the damage and be unhorsed. I already took an injury from the second tilt. Are there any other consequences?]

[ooc: no lasting physical damage. Happily, you lost to a Black, so you're bundled away by Ser Erryk's attendants rather than humiliatingly exposed - feel free to narrate this, then I'll add flourish. A brave showing against a talented knight!]

The riders come to their third tilt, and tension rides thick in the air - two unlikely opponents riding thrice was an spectacular show already. The Kingsguard, however, seemed to be slowly getting the upper hand with each tilt, and the final one proved no different. Though the Knight of Stones managed to shatter yet another lance against his opponent's shield, he was struck with such force that he could do naught but stumble backwards and at last fall from his horse.

He struggles not to groan in pain, his shoulder, arm and back burning with pain. Assistants come to take the man away, leaving his helmet on in goodwill, not revealing the mystery rider's identity. The crowd cheers the tough but well-earned victory.
