Re: Almanac
So daily abilities can be used once per phase. Is the festival its own phase or part of phase 1?

Re: Almanac
Added phases (Set as Phase 1.0, 1.1 etc) to make it clearer which events are mutually exclusive and what order things occur in.
For long-standing players, this is effectively the same as previous stories (as you have 8 slots a phase, identical to past stories if we exclude 4 slots for sleeping), but with a vaguer time-frame so I don't have to spend ages mucking around with travel times etc. I intend to take after GRRM on that score.

Re: Almanac
Tullisons may or may not throw an event during phase 1 which people might want to reserve a slot for, so tentatively calling P1.6.

Re: Almanac
Quick question for clarity. Myr and Those who went beforehappen seemingly at the same time I believe. So, are they prior to Mushroom or after?

These happen after Mushroom fest, although elements of "Those who went before" could have started beforehand (ongoing research etc).

Re: Almanac
New events up.
Support the Arts [King's Landing, Phase 1]
Note that for RP purposes this is still Phase 1 so everyone is around, but for mechanical purposes this is KL track only.
Perilous Pirates & Privateers [Stepstones, Phase 2]
As previously stated, due to the RL time it can take to resolve fights the Stepstones Phase 2 is being handled in tandem with KL Phase 1 Material.
Anticipated timeline for March:
Saturday Mar 4 - mechanics for Support the Arts and Stepstones foes unveiled.
Saturday Mar 11 - Wrap up pre-transition Phase 1 events. Stepstones combats ongoing.
Saturday Mar 18 - Wrap up all phase 1 events. Introduce Phase 2 KL events. Stepstones combats ongoing.
Saturday Mar 25 - Mechanics for Phase 2 KL events unveiled. Stepstones combats finished.
I'm sure you are starting to see the planned pattern. Of course, throughout I am hoping to see some excellent RP and threads, player driven plots, etc; the official events should be the framework around which PCs stories are woven.
I also hope to have all of the off-season events fully resolved as soon as possible, but it is taking a back seat to Story 3 at the moment.
Also coming hopefully soon - a scene between Baelon and Gwyn explaining just why he isn't fighting alongside you in the Stepstones, and what he is doing instead.

Re: Almanac
Phase 1 Resolutions and Phase 2 King's Landing events have been posted.
(some festival results still pending)
Unit and NC allocations:
Please post in the Off to War thread which units and NCs your houses are sending to the war. Support NCs may only affect units in their location.
This will become important beginning in Phase 3, so there is time to discuss internally.
Phase two KL Track events:
Event A: Making Friends and Influencing People [Diplomacy]
Event B: The Price of Greed [Coercion]
Participation in event B requires having IC knowledge from the Opportunity in Myr Phase 1 event. Knowledge can be shared though.
Notes on the events:

Notes on the events:
- Both events are intended to be group efforts. the most talented might be able to get some results alone, but I wouldn't count on it.
- Because there are only a few KL track players, House NCs may assist... if they are not in the Stepstones.
- Be strategic. From one perspective there can only be one winner in each location. From another perspective, everyone wins if the events are successful - winning the war is the top priority.
- Think about what the events are, not just what the mechanics might be. Be creative in seeking advantages.
- In order to get the two tracks aligned again, I am going to be strict about the deadlines on these events. One week for initial planning and declarations, a second week for implementations and results.

Re: Almanac
Well, I really bungled this one up, those deadlines were supposed to read April 15th, with player rolls to be posted by the 22nd.Valar Dohaeris wrote:Event Mechanics will go live next Saturday, April 22nd.
Declarations on where you are going and whom you will be working with must be made prior to then.
I can't really hold all of you accountable for that, so despite my wish for keeping the deadlines tight, there will be an extension. Please post as soon as possible, and once I have heard from all four of our KL track folks (absolute deadline the 22nd as accidentally stated above, but sooner would be much better) I will post the mechanics.
