D6 LA Interrogating Holy Harry - closedish
Ser Jorah waited for Loreia to arrive before going into the dungeons to interrogate Holy Harry. His master Ser Lionel Darry had been a problem for House Coldbrook for years and any information to deal with him would be helpful.
ooc
Primarily this is Loreia and Jorah, but if any other character wants to help with the interrogation, I'm not going to say no.

"
ah I see you have found your way to the dungeon fanatic."
The septon states as he enters the dungeon. "
So our time is short. Let me ask you, why did you forsake the seven and start hurting the small folk. No godly man would willingly hurt those less fortunate than themselves."
I set my disposition to dislike vs harry but do not take any penalties due to authority
He is also likely a smallfolk? so I get a bonus dice for persuasion (intimidate)
"
So tell me harry, where is your camp? Where would your compatriots be hiding like thieves striking at the small folk rather then facing the righteous wrath of the knights they falsely claim to fight? Where in the name of the seven are they!?"

Loreia joins Jorah in the alcove, closing behind her the door serving as an entrance. Within is at least one flight of stairs and/or archway leading to the dungeon proper, cells and all. A jailor may be currently on shift with a guard or two, with a table on which sits some record-keeping drudgery and secretarial tools.**
"
Ser,"
she salutes. "
How do we approach this? If it were up to me, I'd let him stew in there for a bit longer, ration him a few pickin's to spread over a whole night."
*pending Reader discretion*

"
To show ourselves working alongside the Seven. Septon Arlyn will be there as well. Anything we can get from him will be useful."
Signalling to the guards, they let them into the cell, where the Septon had entered a moment before.
"
Do you remember us?"

Ah yes Ser Jorah Holt and ..."
the septon thinks for a moment,"
I am sorry I seem to have forgotten your guests name. Anyways me and this blasphemer "
holy"
harry, have been having a discussion about the propriety of using religion to justify cruelty, so far he has not told me of the location of his band of brigands"
replies septon Arlyn.
OOC I do not know if I have met loriea yet, maybe we were to meet at the ball?

OOC: It's not a problem, this can be our first meeting. I'm more likely to have met the septon of Riverrun first.
"
Alright, let's get started,"
she says. She unsheathes a dagger and mirthlessly asks, "
So what shall we cut off first?"
Her attitude is genuine, but she still follows Jorah's lead despite her bold approach.

*I will. He's not on right now, But we should hear from him in a few hours, he's on UK time. Consider all this roleplay at the moment to be before your actual intimidation results happen. Your current roleplay for the interrogation proper is fine were it is, though. I'm wondering whether Jorah will step in and redirect my threat before Arlyn objects to it, if he does at all.*

Harry will speak before we must risk our souls by torturing this individual. However,"
the septon says turning too "

Harry. "
If he does waste my time I may have to leave a little eak m early. I'm a very busy v man you see harry. I want to help you. I will even testify at your trial if you are helpful to us now. If you do not help..."
The septon trails off and looks at the fearice looking woman with her dagger out. "
I do hate to imagine how other people may ask you my same questions"
says the septon with a coy grin.

"
Loreia, there is no need to start removing body parts,"
he gently admonished the guardswoman, "
at least not yet. Considering his past issues with our house, I'm sure he'd much rather speak to the Septon."

Re: D6 LA Interrogating Holy Harry - closedish
Harry was a hardened man.
Harry was a robber, a killer and worse.
Harry was a survivor. He'd interrogated by knights, torturers and lords and had the scars to proves it.
Harry was used to questioning, beatings and torture.
But Harry was a religious man, in his own twisted way. Never before had he been put to the question by a Septon.
At the Septon's blunt questioning he hangs his head in shame, making the mistake of engaging in dialogue where normally he would remain resolute in silence.
"
Forgive me Father, even Ser Lionel would not have me conceal the truth from a servant of the Seven,"
he says from freshly fractured teeth. The guards have not been kind to him.
His voice still carries an edge.
[OOC: Simple intrigue, 3 DoS thanks to assists (bravo!) = three questions before the intimidation pushes him in to noisy religious prayer and renders him useless for your purposes
- After this scene, his disposition shifts to Malicious towards all three of you.]

Question #2
While Harry answers Arlyn's straightforward question, Loreia gives Jorah a sideways glance. The septon asked the first question out of the only two that were important to her, The only two that needed asking when interrogating some pathetic-as-piss invader or bandit prisoner. She makes a start to clear the septon's personal space while pausing to make a subtle salute towards Jorah, who gives her a knowing nod. While not certain how many questions they will get answers to before having to push Harry again, she is at least permitted to ask the next one.
When Harry's finished with his answer, Loreia butts in. "
S'cuse me, priest. This one's every bit as important."
Approaching to the side of Arlyn, she asks another(second) question, keeping it short and to the point:
"
How large a force is stationed there?"
*"
there"
refers to the 'where' answer given to the septon's question.*

"
What is Ser Lionel planning?"
Ser Jorah loomed over him, his face stern and unforgiving. "
If you tell us, then you will be able to save some poor person's life from being unjustly taken."

1) "
Where is the main camp of your force located?"
"
Wherever there are stout, true Andal men! Wherever the faith in the Seven is strong and their light shines on the faithful. You can find the faithful, the true believers in every village and hamlet."
After this initial raving Harry calms somewhat.
"
We wintered in Durain's forest at the ruined keep named Rugar's Hold. With the weather easing common, bandits have overrun it once more - they are vermin, that lack our true Andal purpose. With better weather, once more does Ser Lionel send his holy force to spread throughout the land."
2) "
"
How large a force is stationed there?"
"
We are legion, avenging the populace against Targaryen blasphemy."
Once more, he pants and calms, seemingly eased by the Septon's presence.
"
Ser Lionel normally has us operate in smaller groups, but at Rugar's hold we must have had at least a couple of hundred men if not more, stout old Darry men at arms and the new warriors Ser Lionel is training. The Warrior's Sword is reserved for the holiest among us - twenty true Andal knights, old Darry champions and new men Ser LIonel has dubbed. Any knight can make a knight, but who better to be dubbed by than one of the few true knights left in the realm. A faithful Andal son could ask for nothing more."
[TN 11 Awareness (empathy) 11]
3) "
What is Ser Lionel planning?"
"
Justice. To expose the lies of Targaryen supporting dogs among the nobility."
"
Funda nad ransoms are not a concern - these are mere baubles. The Warrior's sword and the donations of loyal Andal sons give us all we need."
"
Instead, Ser Lionel focuses us on holy deeds to invigorate the fiathful and cow the faithless!"
At this, an ecstatic gleams shines in Harry's eyes and he begins to mumble half-correct fragments of The Seven Pointed Star through his shattered teeth, rocking back and forth in his chains.

[OOC: empathy result - he's generally telling the truth, Ser Lionel's men don't gather in a large centralised location to avoid Lord Tully's troops smashing them. I can give you guys a hamlet that Harry's cell used if you feel short changed, but Ser Lionel doesn't have an easy camp of 320 men to crush.
However, specifically on the "
numbers"
question - Harry is telling you what he believes to be true, hence the repeated invocation of "
Ser Lionel"
, as this is what he has been told. He has a rough guess to their numbers and troop quality, but he's not a quarter master and estimating large numbers (from his time wintering at Rugar's Hold) is hard! Of all his pieces of information, you feel this is the least reliable.]

Loreia sighs deeply. "
They might've lost a few men to the bandits. He's not lyin' though,"
she continues while Harry babbles. "
They're actually bein' smart, 'stead of stickin' to one place where the forces of Riverrun could wipe 'em out for good. They're a wreck, they'll have to scatter - oh, 'spread throughout the land', I mean - and, with their 'deeds', inspire recruitment among the little people and terrorize the rest."

Aye, you might be right my lady. However all of us must answer to a higher judge then the lords of this land. I hope that the mother grants him mercy for the assistance he has provided. All men make mistakes. All men deserve forgiveness."
