[D6 EE] The mystery knight (closed)

[Kevan Lyras]

Kevan was sitting in front of his tent, a plate filled with spicy marinated pork ribs in front of him. He was hungry after another day on the Tourney Ground, but relieved he made it through successfully and without so much as a scratch.
Suddenly, a dark cloaked figure appeared, wearing a mask.
Hm, the party visitors are already out and hooded?
When the figure got closer, he realized it was carrying a knights armor in his hands...

[Anvil Gloom Knight]

I'm actually wearing my armor.

As the knight Kevan fought earlier approaches, he notices that he is actually wearing the armor, and carrying a small pouch. His face is still covered by the visor. On his approach, he bows - a gesture Kevan must be tiring of - and raps his breastplate with two solid knocks.

He holds the pouch up by its knot for Ser Kevan to see.

"
Ah, concealed friend, I guess you are here for my ransom. Take a seat, you must be as tired as I am from today"
he motions towards the nearby chair. "
Are you hungry? I'd like to share a meal with you, though I am not sure how you'd eat without displaying at least some of your face"

[Anvil Gloom Knight]

The hand containing the mystery knight's ransom falters. He looks toward the table, as if considering, and takes the chair he's offered. His head tilts slightly toward the food, then he looks back at Kevan and shrugs, as if taking his visor off doesn't come to him as a solution to the knight's posed conundrum.

The mystery knight recovers quickly from his hesitation. He puts the pouch on the table and lets the weight of it drop a little, causing it to hit the wood firmly.

I can also offer to look the other way while you eat, but that would be a bit strange as well. You rode so well during this Tourney and it would be a shame if nobody ever would know the true identity of the mystery knight. What kind of song would that make?"

The mystery knight taps his helmet and then brings his hands up to a modest level. He waves them a little, a gesture usually accompanied by a verbal 'whoo' expression. His counterargument appears to involve some sort of mysticism.

He taps his helmet again, then taps his shield, which he raises, posing with it as one would to defend from attack. He turns a bit in his seat, turning the defense of his shield to the left and right as well.

he hesitates, as the knight gestures the protection he feels from his secret identity. He takes another bite from a rib, as even the presence of his mysterious visitor cannot subdue his hunger.

He is not asking for anything in return, so what is he looking for?

Even if I never find out his identity, this is one of the most fun conversation over dinner I had in a long time...

The knight barely stirs. Finally, he taps his shield a second time. Then, he stands to strike an imposing figure, jerks a pointed finger at Kevan - lingering in that pose - and brings the same finger back to his visor to make a shushing gesture. It's not a hostile display, but compared to his previous signs, it doesn't seem to appear jovial or intended to entertain in the slightest.

Kevan steps back to the entrance of his tent, opens the flap with one hand and allows the mystery knight to enter before he follows him inside, where they are protected from curious glances...

Mere minutes later, the flap of the tent opens again and the mystery knight steps out. Still in full armour he disappears between the various pavilions, not to be seen again...
