Ok, so I'm still working my way through this, so I might not have Round 3 stuff up until tomorrow. In the meantime, please check over the following round 1 summary - there were a few minor errors and adjustments (mostly NC fatigue use) that I would like to address, and one significant error (regarding Ser Kyle Crakehall's yield) that I think warrants a retcon. If anyone has a serious problem with any of this, please let me know and we can work it out. Also, I'm really confused by the current map, so I ignored it and created a new one based on your starting positions and round one actions.

Corrine, given your unfamiliarity with the combat system, I think you were doing a really good job. This is not a simple set of rules.

Round 1 Summary

  1. Loreia Merrgal

    • Charge H (E10 ->
      I5), 13 vs 10CD(f) 1 DoS, 7 - 7AR = 0 Damage
      Notes: adjusted to a charge due to distance (no effect on the DoS and +2 damage/DoS), applied the fatigue that was indicated in Ser Henry's response to ignore AP, reducing the hit to 1 DoS.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  2. Ser Jorah Holt

    • Charge K (J7 ->
      G4), 16 vs 10CD(f), 2 DoS, 14 - 7AR = 7 Damage
      Notes: I am assuming that the -1 on the roll was an error, please correct me if I am wrong. Ser Kyle takes a fatigue to ignore AP, reducing the hit to 2 DoS. EDIT: just remembered that you still had an injury from the M7 fight. Rough luck, that.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  3. Ser Henry Hardyng

    • Attack L, 12 (-1 from fatigue) vs 11CD, 1 DoS, 4 - 7AR = 0 Damage
      Notes: I'm not sure where the 1 damage came from... should be 0.
      Ser Henry only used one lesser action. For the sake of simplicity I am going to say that his second action was an Aim, as he recognizes that he had underestimated how hard Loreia is to hit. That should necessitate the least adjustments to later posts.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  4. Ser Adrian Redfort

    • Charge D (C7 ->
      G10), 20 vs 11CD(f), 2 DoS, 12 - 10AR = 2 Damage
      Notes: Neither the Charge penalty nor the +2 Damage were applied. Due to the reduction from 3 DoS to 2 the increase in damage is counterbalanced, and there is no change in the final damage.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  5. Lord Petyr Mallister

    • Passes
      Notes: Retconned per Reader.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  6. Ser Kyle Crakehall

    • Reckless Attack J, 24 vs 16CD (f*), 2 DoS, 8 - 9 AR = 0 Damage
      Notes: Reckless attack grants +1D, not +1B. I rolled an additional d6 before I realized that enough dice had been rolled;
      if you see that on Orokos just ignore it. The actual roll should have been 7d6k5, with a -1 penalty from fatigue. Despite the augmented roll, Ser Jorah's CD is still an impressive 16 as his fatigue use against Lord Petyr's attack is still in effect, and thus Ser Kyle still fails to do any damage.
      More significantly, both Reckless Attack and Yield are Greater Actions, thus Ser Kyle could not have yielded at this time. Further, while he took a substantial hit, he still has most of his fatigue and all of his injuries, so he has no real reason to do so. In fact, he's in better shape than his opponent. Jorah, if you would like to change your Round 2 action in light of this you may, though given that Ser Kyle failed to hit you with a reckless attack it is unlikely that he will be a serious threat to you - unlike Lord Petyr. If you leave your actions as is, for the sake of simplicity I am not going to have Ser Kyle attack you on round 2 (I'll just have him pass - looking for an opening).[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
  7. Lord Dunstan Tullison

    • Knockdown A, 12 vs TN12, success (barely!)
      [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    • Attack A, 21 vs 7CD, 3 DoS, 15 - 8AR = 7, -1 CD
      Notes: Shattering affects defensive weapons (such as shields) before armor, so Ser Adrian takes the -1 penalty to his CD, not his AR.[/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]
    [/*Ⓜ32ja9tx9]

Status after Round 1:
Loreia: 15/15 health
Jorah: 9/9 health, 1 fatigue used, 1 injury (from M7 fight)
Henry: 9/9 health, 1 fatigue used
Adrian: 5/12 health, 1 fatigue used, -1 CD (shattering)
Petyr: 9/9 health
Kyle: 2/9 heath, 1 fatigue used, -5 CD (reckless attack)
Dunstan: 7/9 heath, 1 fatigue used

Dunstan is furious because Ser Adrian's superior fighting skill made him be in a position he is unable to strike him the way he wants. Enraged, he once again uses his brute strength to smack him with a shield, making him fall down. Once he's down, he unleashes a quality blow to his shoulder, trying and succeeding to hit the same spot in his armor he damaged already.

Lesser Action: : 6d6k4 20 -1= 19
Effect: 3 DoS x 5dmg = 15dmg - 7 = 8 dmg, +1 shattering

Hey Dunstan,

Bad News: Ser Adrian's Maneuver put some distance between you, so you would need to move before you could do either the knockdown or the attack. That means either only do one of the two, or you need to take a fatigue for an extra lesser action. Don't forget the additional -1, though.

Good News: If you do both, the +1D from the knockdown and the -1D from the maneuver do not completely cancel out. You still get the extra die, but you just don't get to keep it, so it's effectively +1B that can exceed the normal limit. If you decide to spend the fatigue to move, knockdown, and attack, go ahead and throw in an extra die.

EDIT: Once I hear back from Ser Jorah about whether or not he wants to adjust his actions in light of Ser Kyle not yielding, I will post a round 2 summary and then the relevant NC actions.

ooc
I'll keep the same actions as Lord Mallister is the greater threat and the -1 was because he was still carrying an injury. Ser Kyle I can see watching the two of us batter each other into submission and trying to pick off the winner

Any square in particular? It won't really matter now, but it might later. With 3 yards of movement (assuming no Fast benefit or Run dice), you have lots of options: G9, H9-11, G11

Oops! I was going off of the equipment listed on the first page more than the listed stats. This is why I wanted you all to check my work. Embarassed

Given this though, I think you might be shorting yourself. A Breastplate is 5 AR, 2 AP, 3 Bulk. With both Armor Mastery and Improved Armor Mastery, you should be at 7 AR, 1 AP, 2 Bulk.
I notice that you have a -2 on your initiative check, which should be only a -1 if the penalty is just from AP. Also, from I have seen, you should have an 11 CD, not 10: 10 base, -1 AP, +2 Shield = 11.
It hasn't mattered this combat, but every little bit can matter. :;
):

Also keep in mind that because a breastplate is base 5 AR, if you get knocked down you can stand as a lesser action without a test, or as a free action with a TN 9 test.

[OOC: Ok, I'm going to move on for now, I doubt the resolution to Lord Petyr's attack is going to affect any of you other than Ser Jorah in the short term, so let me get the remainder of round 2 and round 3 going rather than make everyone wait]

Round 2 - Ser Kyle Crakehall
Seeing Lord Petyr leave himself vulnerable, Ser Kyle took the opportunity to try to level the playing field. Lord Petyr was clearly a dangerous man, and Ser Kyle did not relish the notion of facing him one-on-one. Or at all really, so he focuses more on defense than offense. As a result, what could have been a significant blow is instead barely powerful enough to get through Lord Petyr's harness of plates.
Lesser Action: Move to E4
Lesser Action: : 7d6k3 18 -1 for fatigue, 17 3 Dos, 12 - 10AR = 2 Damage

CD: 10 (7 +3)
AR: 7
Health: 2/9
F/I/W: 1/0/0

EDIT: failed to double check my own map. Aim replaced with Move, reandomly removing die #.... : 1d7 4
Removes the fourth die, the 5. No change to result. Actually, even removing one of the sixes wouldn't have changed the # of DoS.

Round 2, Resolution to Dunstan's Turn:

Dunstan moves in and knocks Ser Adrian back to the ground mere seconds after the knight managed to regain his footing. As the Lord of House Tullison brought his mace down on the Redfort knight like a boulder crashing down the mountainside, it was all Ser Adrian could do to wrench his shield out from under him to intercept the heavy blow. Ser Adrian's shield, already battered from the previous stoney assault, shattered into innumerable pieces. Only a few splintered scraps remained strapped to his arm.

OOC: Ser Adrian takes a fatigue to ignore his AP, reducing the hit to two DoS, 10 - 8 AP = 2 damage. His shield is destroyed by the shattering effect.

Round 3: Ser Henry

Taking Loreia's blow on his arm, the valeman knows that he is in a bad spot. This woman had him panting for breath. She might even be stronger than him - it's unnatural. The only time a woman should wear him out is in the sheets, and only after she herself has begged for mercy! He has got to teach her a lesson. He might not win, but he wants her to remember him in the morning. Like a woman should. He attempts to knock her down, but the northern woman does not budge. In a panic he gets defensive, not wanting to be defeated with her next strike.

Lesser Action: : 3d6-3 7 (fails)
Lesser Action: : 6d6k3-3 15 1 DoS, 4 - 7AR = 0 Damage

Round 3: Ser Adrian

Ser Adrian is an experienced enough combatant to know that standing up while your opponent is right next to you is a waste of time. Better instead to encourage your opponent to back off a bit and give you some room. To that end, Ser Adrian uses his now freed shieldhand to brace the pommel of his sword as he drives the point towards a gap in the young lord's armor at the knee. The thrust hits, but the fatigue in Ser Adrian's muscles prevents him from striking quite as well as he had hoped. What is worse is that his following upward swing, intended to look like an assault on the House Tullison family jewels, swung wide and did not even vaguely impart the intended threat.

Lesser Action: : 7d6k5-3 21 3 DoS, 12 - 10AR = 2 Damage
Lesser Action: : 7d6k5-3 14 (failed)

Note: description of two-handing the longsword is purely descriptive, no mechanical effect.

CD: 5 (no shield)
AR: 8
Health: 3/12
F/I/W: 3/0/0

Dunstan somehow gathers himself and parries Ser Adrian's skilled attacks. Glad to see his shield shredded to pieces, he aims a shot through his defenses and smacks down his mace to his chest.

Round 4

In an attempt to get through Hardyng's defense, Loreia focuses on a grueling assault, throwing weight behind her strikes. She clearly overcompensates in shattering his defense and lands a couple blows, bringing one down in an overhead arc and raising her sword up for another, mirroring the first.

Round 4
Spends 1 destiny to reduce Petyr Mallister's attack by 1d
Spends 1 Fatigue to ignore armour penalty

CD 12
Health 3/9 [allowing for earlier round retcon to avoid ganging up, but take Round 3 damage]
AR 9
I/W/F 1/0/1 [healed Ser Jorah's D7 injury, not sure why he still had it?]

Lesser action: : 4d6-1 9-1 =8 - knockdown on Petyr Mallister fails
Lesser action: : 6d6k5-1 18-1 =17 - 5 Damage per DoS = 3 DoS = 15 Damage -10AR = 5 Damage
[Petyr Mallister base CD = 8 including AP, boosted to 12 by use of fatigue -5 from reckless attack = 7 = 17 rolled - 7 = 10 = 3 DoS]

[OOC: Daveth's Healing test was one DoS short of allowing a full recovery, which is why one injury persisted.
Are you going to take this group over, or do you want me to keep running it? Either is fine with me.]

[OOC: humbug, that seems a little harsh, particularly as somebody should throw in an assist, even if it's a healing 2 servant, I'm healing him. In no way biased by the fact I'll be piloting Ser Jorah for this combat :;
): - just don't think people should be disadvantaged for missing mechanical quirks like this.

I'll pilot Jorah here if you're able to do the rest of the crew? Let thin this herd! Tbh we can both chip in at various points if the other is slow. Appreciate your help.]
