1) Will get back to you on the trip unless someone else sources something from the books.
2) Offseason will be a full year like last time, as with previously punctuated by several events (two quick Velaryon related events to introduce them, an attack on House Wyl of Dorne, House Redwain's tournament,a Kingsguard induction). I'll lay out a tentative plan at some point, but last time there were several blocks of unencumbered months in a row to allow bold voyages beyond the Wall and other adventures!
Also - less available tomorrow due to New Year's festivities and calling people about fixing my ceiling (and the leak from above, and the damage from the bottom floor removing a lode bearing wall).

Didn't Victarion do a trip to Mereen? I suppose you may find several benchmarks there.
Also Arya Stark traveled to Bravoos.
where in Essos are you thinking of going?

Re: AFK thread
A quick google search estimates that it take anywhere from 3 to 4 days from King's Landing to Pentos. This is based on a ship sailing at 6 knots and the distance uses the wall as a bench mark (300 miles)

Actually.. the downtime between story 1 and story 2 was nine months. 124/11 to 125/7.

I was under the impression it was 12. House Marsten has 4 3-month blocks that we did in the offseason.

No Corrine, we just did the house fortune rolls for a full year, but the downtime was only 9 months :;

I thought I shifted it slightly to allow for pregnancies? Will review and adjust as necessary.

Re: AFK thread
Today reasonably productive despite spending much of it sorting out things with workmen and insurers post ceiling collapse.
Leaving for Hogmanay drinks now, then physical clean-up of debris tomorrow plus family lunch, so likely to be a slow day. Mainly answering questions via PMs/OOC, the odd IC post if we're lucky.
Happy remainder of 2015 and Happy New Year to everyone.
Thanks for a wonderful year of gaming.

Today was mainly clearing plaster from my home/hoovering.
Off to play card/board games now. Might get a little posting in very late tonight, if not will do more posting tomorrow (again cut down by clearing up home).

Still no internet but my cellphone. The telecom sent someone out today, then called later on and apologized that no one came. Then in nearly the same breath quoted from the ticket that the guy they sent wrote.
I may never get back online.

Currently away from my home away from home, and naught but a low-battery cell to post from. Will likely be relatively silent until tomorrow.
Autocorrect, why did you change tomorrow to Gomorrah??

Re: AFK thread
Sorry that several of you are struggling with connectivity problems - we're wrapping things up treaty wise, so story winding to a close now anyway, fear not.
Hope things get sorted soon.
For my own part, I'm back at work tomorrow (public holiday in Scotland but I'm working it to free up holidays for my wedding). A combination of sorting out my collapsing house and getting back to work means to pace of the game will slow slightly, but no disaster. As noted, we're pretty close to having the story wrapped up anyway.

Slower day today - working, fiancee's return and chasing flat repairs as some other people have returned to work in Scotland despite the public holiday.

Re: AFK thread
About to start my lengthy drive back to school;
about 500 miles today and a bit more than that tomorrow. That's approximately Aberdeen to Cardiff each day for you UK folks. :;
):
I'll be back on in 9 or 10 hours... if traffic doesn't rear it's ugly polluting head.

Although UK roads are probably more dangerous, you all drive on the wrong side of the road!
