As has been explained to you in PM, Lady Isobel has no direct power over this issue. Check the wiki &
source books.
She doesn't approve, as a reading of her posts suggests (that said, this is one of those nice "
damned either way"
choices for Marsten - they've gone the low status + name change route for the husband. If you go for a high status husband, it's an easier sell but maybe they swallow your house). Isobel just has to use subtle power on this.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Is the entire Landhold just ironborn, and followers of Drowned God?
Since it is in the Riverlands, is there a part that's seven worshiping riverlanders?

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Probably smallfolk do worship the seven but the majority should be followers of the Drowned God.
Also according to the Ironborn culture if you are born under ironborn house you are considered ironborn and you are recruited from early age to start learning how to fight on a ship, so basically you graduate about the age most regular people would become a knight or "
adults"
as a true ironborn reaver, considering you have already battle experience and have worked on the ship.
So most men in Landhold probably worship the Drowned God as they are immersed into the culture since they are considered ironborn. To them it does not matter that both your parents are thralls, or smallfolk, their children are ironborn and treated as such.
Edit: If you have the World of Ice &
Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and GoT, you learn a lot of the cultures and other important tidbits of the Westeros.

Also, after one of us taps out, the fight is over. It will also not be allowed to use any sharp weapons longer that 1 foot in length.

How does this now work with a Septon having been around all along, given that there was just a secret wedding, performed by Septon Meribald? Or would Septon Arlyn not reside in the Sept?
Sorry for the totally dense question.

Questions aren't dense, they welcome.
Septon Arlyn is from House Dulver and is visiting, so this isn't his home Sept (Septon Meribald still has that honour).
We don't need the mother of all ret-cons.

Well, aside from the odd event (and even that is dubious in my eyes), can we at least enforce that you are not allowed to enter or start threads happening from earlier days without narrator permission?
Because we kinda ought to close things down. No offense to our new member, his bumping of long finished threads is just the trigger to this message.

Oh indeed, narrator characters only on the "
current"
day please! Earlier threads are fine if it's pure roleplay.
That said, new characters often get permission from me to participate in old events, particularly if they're the first member of their house (Septon Arlyn) or it suits them well (Ser Derrock Swann). Helps them catch up.
I know a few people were disappointed to miss out on "
Little Birds"
but that was completed by other people from their house anyway.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Welcome Septon Arlyn!
I would highly recommend that all new players post a blurb in the thread. It lets us other players know a little bit about your character, like what house you are from, what you look like aside from your profile pic, what sort of IC connections you might want to have, etc.
Looks like I need to do some pruning in that first post...
Garret Snow
Leifnarr Longshore
Ser Mather Warrens
Ser Walton Dulver never made it on there, but hasn't posted in over a week...
Side note, page 101! his thread has really exploded since its creation.

A baby born well before your marriage. Such shameful behavior for a noblewoman.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
I highly doubt specially during this time period a single House of the Iron Islands worships the seven, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it is highly distasteful to say the least among ironborn to find a worshiper of the seven, which are extremely rare, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Hoare for example was quite open to the seven, together with several other houses, the likelyhood of there not being followers in this time, but all the houses converting after this time is unlikely, I would say.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
I've assumed your the Longshore population largely worships the drowned god, with the odd Seven worshipper/older folk customs to inject drama later. Even with just a small % of seven worshippers, there will be a few in your land.
Thanks Yoren!

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
House Hoare Died in Year 1 After Conquest, so yes I doubt the worship of the 7 is even considered right now after how much the Ironborn contested the Hoare because they had the "
Andal Taint"
Edit: Thralls and smallfolk might consider it, but ironborn do not.
After Hoare were defeated Greyjoys took Pyke, Tully the riverlands, so your viewing a old House long dead, with a reviled tradition amongst ironborn.

That's the way I see it too on Longshore lands - some Seven/folk worship among the smallfolk for potential religious tension plots later.
Yoren's conversion attempts will no doubt drive some fiery (HONK) tensions anyway.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Yes but saying some Houses is almost 0, except for the random weirdo like Yoren from a family that worships other than the drowned god, not many Houses in the Iron Islands.
