The market completed this month and with the increase of traffic brought an increase in risk against the house. Maester Falsten whispered into Lord Dulvers ears how greater influence could help rise the house above the other houses. Ser Garred however was able to impress upon Lord Dulver the importance of increasing the power of Lord Dulver's house.

The defeat of Ser Benjen Frey in single combat brought influence of showing that even the mighty Benjen Frey could not stand before the might of the Heir of House Dulver. The showing of mercy to the rebels by sending them to the wall garnered great respect from the nearby houses, making them less likely to attempt an assault against House Dulver, increasing their defense.Garren used this opportunity to fill some of the cellars in deepen hall with supplies for a siege, increasing the security of House Dulver
