Left Bloodriders for Baelon to roll. Don't feel as bad for Dulvers now.

Re: AtMC - The battle of Ringing Hills
[OOC: glory to House Roxton!
Your Black campaign has only made the greens stronger.
Tears for House Dulver!
No doubt they can sort things out with their wasteful allies IC.
2 Glory earned, 1 wealth. All to be divided by House Marsten, with at least 1 glory of total 4 from battles going to House Marsten.]

Roxton up, Dulver down, all the blacks maintain... a bit of a wash, really.

Wait a minute, the support were only damaged, not disorganized. And actually, looking at the map, they weren't even a legal target - the hill blocks marksmanship attacks, so the only available targets were the Marsten Cavalry, the Bloodriders, or, barely, the Roxton cavalry. Also, the scouts should have had +1D for attacking out of stealth... they certainly can at least damage cavalry... well, the green Roxton cavalry anyway. An average roll on the missing die would be enough to get 3 DoS (effective TN 14), 6-5AR = 1.
The problem here though is not that the cavalry are too tough, it's that scouts are not really intended as combatants primarily - but they don't have any defined mechanical use otherwise (in theory, they would help an attacking force get a positional benefit - maybe translate that into an initiative bonus if they make an awareness test? Perhaps they then have to make a stealth test or be caught and take an attack, or maybe start the battle disorganized?)

Hitting someone in a mountain from a hill should be fine...
What do you mean by how do I want to go, the units are all killed...

Agreed, elevation seems to make sense here and avoid retcon.

Re: AtMC - The battle of Ringing Hills
Scouts are in the forest not the hills. They have a hill in front of them blocking sight, but to avoid retcon the Dulvers are above the hills in the mountains. All fixed!

Not trying to be greedy here, but were the spoils determined/distributed?

Re: AtMC - The battle of Ringing Hills
(OOC- Just adding a bit of drama based on House Dulver units interpretation of the battle. I'm a warfare novice so this is purely in character, props to those involved in the battle and the results. I figured it could drive and add flavor to some future interactions.)
Rumors swirl around House Dulver as the returning Longbowman spread their tales of The Battle of Ringing Hills. The archers relay to their house leadership how Lord Marsten ordered them to take up position in front of the clan's calvary troops. With the calvary force only across the field and no cover, fortifications or defense troops present, the longbowman looked at each other worriedly but stood their ground intent to do their best. Deep down they knew they were no infantry unit however. As the calvary charged, the troops took heavy damage and their discipline fell away with a majority of the men breaking and running looking for some shred of safer ground. Some wonder if it was mere strategy, a battle plan gone awry or perhaps politics behind these events...
Raymun StrongBow discusses the battle further with his son, Luecian. "
Aye, lad it was a near thing. Can't be speaking for the plans of the commanders or his intentions but 3 divisions of well armored calvary hid in the woods, while we were ordered right out in the open in our leathers. That's just the hard truth. Felt right like we were a goat staked in the mountains to draw a big cat out. Just bait son...there's many who think we were set out only as bait to draw the calvary in. I been in my fair share a battles and things never be working like ya first be thinking but surely felt like mayhaps it could be right. Many lords think us archers as just peasants who be useful but expendable..their knights though Seven forbid their fancy armor gets scratched. Brave men to have all the best armor, horses and steel that silver or gold can buy then hide in the woods waiting for us exposed archers to be trampled..."
He shakes his head and looks at his son.
Luecian holds a disturbed look on his face as he responds."
I met Lord Marsten at the Riverrun Tourney and me impression was him and his wife were a good sort, hate to think it of him truth be told. Honest word though, he did warn me that Lord's can wear camouflage too. Mayhaps presenting themselves one way to the world but really hidin a different disposition. He won his battle though, and enough of our men returned to pull a bow another day. We may not be liking the way it went down but can't argue he won the battle well enough. Doubtin our men feel that way though, they bled red whether House Dulver is seen as Green and House Marsten as Black..."
