Bah, everyone is a product of sin and lust, marriage just pretties it up.Lady Corrine Marsten wrote:It's hardly a fetish. Bastards are products of sin and lust. They go for her, not the other way around.
Besides, Baelon was only after you because of your mother.
That sounds even creepier than what happened.

Re: Game Discussion
If this is going to be the go-to thread for all things campaign related, I think I'll put this here.
I became inspired and put this Frankenstein mock-up of various dramatic moments, or just what I believe were telling statements, to create a summary of Day 1's drama. Some people want to keep secrets, some don't, so I stayed away from investigation results, less the arc of Story 2 and more on the little character arcs. I don't think this is plausible in a per-day format, but I may try this during the offseasons. I hope you like it, and if I missed your dramatic scene, let me know and I might add something for you.
I was listening to "
Next time/Perviously On"
from Telltale's Game of Thrones music on loop...

KIng's Justice, Day 1
Dunstan
at House Blackwood's bread and salt
"
It is my honor to be here, not only because I am serving our King, but because our two Houses are bound by blood."
Garred (had to try and paraphrase)
Meeting with Nathan and Yoren under the royal banner
"
I know what is duty and loyalty, which our good king demanded... as you depart, check the banner under which stands that of House Dulver."
Ben
Meeting the early bird Ser Theomore in Pennytree
"
Whoever struck down Lord Blackwood has already covered the tracks and will have little chance to do further covering."
Baelon
at the stables of Raventree Hall
"
Favor House Blackwood and there will be cries of favoritism and that House Marsten cares not for justice."
Below ground among the cold cobblestones of Raventree Hall
"
Oh yes, the quiet, demure, dutiful wife. A perfect description of you."
Baelon says with a playful smirk.
Gwyn's reply: "
Hush. I'm the very picture of demurity.[...] in a world awash in wild warrior women who seek to usurp the rightful place of men..."
Loreia
in the godswood with Dunstan
"
Bein' recognized for my skill is long overdue."
The swell in her voice trails off. "
That grand melee had downs to rival the ups."
Nathan
in the guest wing of Raventree Hall, late in the evening
"
A Regent will have to be chosen, and the sooner the better.[...] I suggest you pick someone ruthless since his enemies most certainly are."
Gwyn
On the septry steps
"
That is way of feuds perhaps. One thing sparks the hate anew, inviting reprisal, which invites reprisal..."
Athelstan
In a private meeting with Yoren at the inn
"
Friends are a commodity, allies a necessity, and enemies are free and come faster than the last two."
Daveth
With Yoren at the Green Door Inn
I cannot control your actions, but I urge you to find another way, even if it is harder and more prone to failure."
Yoren
"
I've given people the final solution, my hands are bloody, but it's something I repent for everyday."
Athelstan
In the courtyard of the fortress, entreating Lady Marsten with his brother Yoren
"
This is a beautiful sight after all, worth taking."
He takes Corrine's hand and gives it a light kiss.
Ben
whose ire turns on an indignant Corrine in a private room at the Green Door Inn
"
You were not going to tell me were you?"
Corrine: "
If you're going to get all puffed up about a man flirting with me or looking at me, you'll have to fight a bloody long line of them!"
Theomore
with Corrine in the lawless wilderness between Blackwood and Bracken lands
"
There is a saying in King's Landing, my lady."
Theomore doesn't show any visible reaction to her words. "
There is no creature on earth half so terrifying as a truly just man."
Arlyn
"
Warrior protect me!"
bellows Septon Arlyn as he lunges forward at the bandit that did not go down, Using his momentum to help bring the ball and chain crashing down onto the last visible bandits chest.
Earlier at the despoiled septry
"
Yes the gods have certainly put is on the same path. I just wish they could have done so in less dire circumstances."
He replies bitterly.
Luecian
Under the royal banner, proffering to the handy Ser Theomore,
"
Reckon I need to make sure these cuts heal up right and quick. The morrow could be another interesting day."

Wonderful work Loreia.
I've added a little context and linked to it at roninarmy.com, the Greenronin official forum.
http://roninarmy.com/threads/1961-New-p ... post134166
One day I/someone else will find the time to do something like this for story 1 and its offseason/mountain clan campaign.
I know the game style is slightly unusual, but my dream is for everyone to have a rich history like Ser Barristan the Bold, much of it created in-game. If you list out everything many of you have done, we're getting there.
Agree with Ser Kevan, maybe a pruned plot summary threads + quotes would be good.

I agree! I sort of want to do some of that, but I'm already swamped with college work at the moment.

Re: Game Discussion
Probably a task for the inevitable post story 2 down-time as offseason story is worked out, or if things slow down a little while I'm away on business from the 14th to the 20th.

Thanks people. We'll see I mainly did this for Nathan though, to try and help him keep attached when things slow down.

I'm a fan. Great job Loriena. Think that it is helpful for new players as well to have a little short vignette's of PC's. I fell it really helps consolidate our various stories (especially with how wordy some of our threads get)

Re: Game Discussion
Oh yeah. I had to do some searching around. I'm not sure how relevant any of the stuff I pasted regarding Yoren and Athelstan is, not related to the gentlemanly behavior/scandalous courting. Still, it gets across the general idea. That is of course not extended to Theomore. Not yet anyway, but as I said, I'm not really open to doing these on a per-day basis. By day 4 though, there should be more to 'report' on in a summary.
Expect a change shortly concerning Gwyn's "
wild warrior women"
comment. Something's come up...

A reminder you can use your daily rumours (knowledge:Streetwise plus a timeslot) to investigate not just people but also my lovingly curated rumours:
viewtopic.php?f=165&
t=1643#p50299
You're all being far too professional and sticking to the actual investigation and digging dirt on suspects/victims.
Maybe I need to write more scandalous rumours to get you lot interested.
I'll summon my chief sleaze correspondent, Mushroom. He looks forward to crossing (pork) swords with Baelon again. Ahem - those were genuine sausages, get your minds out of the gutter.
That, and exacting fiery vengeance on Nathaniel for embarrassing him. :;

Don't be so sure. The recent argument has taught her not to tell Ben anything like that ever again.
