Trelane is a 13 year old boy. He's eyeing every female. At some point, he'll meet Corrine, so I'm sure she'll tell Ben as she always does
Don't be so sure. The recent argument has taught her not to tell Ben anything like that ever again.
And so the seeds of distrust are sown...
A bittersweet triumph, as it wasn't narrator characters that drove a wedge between them.

Don't be too confident narrator. Nathan would put the pair of them straight in a right hurry.
Try a relationship where one has an eye for both men and women, and one has sex for money.

Yes, but you don't need to worry about a war of succession with claims that one child or another is from the wrong side of the sheets... fidelity in Westerosi society has as much to do with inheritance and property rights as it does with matters of the heart.

He's Daemon Targaryen's son. Or at least claims to be, and fights well enough to put most men off challenging him about it!
Cynical pragmatism and a lack of soft-hearted scruples is just another way for Baelon to claim his heritage. :;

I didn't realise Nathan was attracted to women too. I knew he would accept their custom, but I didn't know he had a genuine interest.
Every day's a school day.
I rather like the image of Nathan knocking Ben &
Corrine's heads together and scolding them to get along. It's kind of sweet.

I was referring to Jon. Jon is egalitarian when it comes to sex.

Ser Jon Roxton - Bold in the battlefield, bold in the bedsheets. :8-):

I hope we play long enough for me to kill me at least as spectacularly as his canon death.

I (the player) am just a realist about the socio-pragmatic origin of mores.
Actually, I'm more of a fictionalist, but lets not get into a discussion of metaethics...
Also, hedonism is such a terribly misunderstood philosophical position.... totally compatible with living an ascetic life, even.

I sometimes wish Corrine wasn't such a goody two-shoes. If Corrine was not so pious and idealistic, she'd have been putting Theo's sexual exploits to shame.

Always possible to make amends, and both Athelstan, Gareth and Jorahs squire can help you on the way :;Lady Corrine Marsten wrote:Reader wrote:Ser Jon Roxton - Bold in the battlefield, bold in the bedsheets. :8-):

Heh, while the attention is flattering, Corrine prefers men with real surnames and knighthoods. :;

Re: Game Discussion
Corrine (the character) is a model of anti-bastard bias. Just look at what she's doing to Dunstan's poor son - tearing him away from his father.
She thinks she is open-minded, but she is as prejudiced as anyone. Not on race, gender, or sexual orientation, but on legitimacy.

which is rich considering her interest in athelstan and her non-traditional leanings

I think it's cool though. Very in-character.
A pity Gwyn isn't involved in that. She'd offer to foster the boy. No bastard prejudice in our household.

A preference does not obviate a strong appreciation for other types of beauty :;

It's almost a shame Corrine isn't Nathan's type. She is attracted IC, though values the friendship more.
To be honest, she's attracted to lots of people, but is too pious and idealistic about marriage to easily be swayed. She just keeps it secret and tries to channel all that energy into pleasing her husband, since she believes that she has to always do that to ensure he doesn't stray. She may not be right in thinking so, but she's not a strictly rational being.

Hooray, good to see some Marsten traditionalism mixed in there, adds an edge to the character.
Starting to see pleasing shades of grey from various characters as the develop.
