Re: Game Discussion
I'd like to have the separate meeting too. Perhaps immediately before the speeches?

Sounds fine to me. You are the big cheesy goodness leader. whatever you like is fine. Slot just before the main meeting would be good, since we are meeting anyway.

Cheesy goodness, hehe.
That was my reasoning too.

You have special dispensation to start this thread early (please note this at the start to avoid confusion). It will make things flow better.

Re: Game Discussion
I think characters should be allowed to quit the intrigue without having to walk out of the room.
IRL people often simply reject to talk about certain topics without storming off. Leaving the room can sometimes have consequences that have nothing to do with fact the character performed the quit intrigue action.
Characters are fully fleshed people with beliefs and personality traits that can be manipulated, but only to a certain extent. Especially in one conversation which is the length of one intrigue.
It's unrealistic and unnecessary to demand they leave the room every time. Comical too;
saying "
Oh I don't like that, see ya!"
every time you want to quit is like something out of a cartoon.

NPC thread updated with story 2's special guest stars! Some old friends, rivals, a high status canon character debut and Lady Sabitha Vyren because she plays to Black themes and what little canon exists for her is fun. Let's expand it!

That's the royal arrival.
Early night doesn't make any sense for a meeting of the investigators. This was pre-scheduled. It's like a meeting of a tribunal. EA-LA or EE-LE at the very least.
There are seven Houses presenting information on eight official charges and we starting this at midnight? How does that make sense?

Royal party wants to hear news as some as it arrives and it arrives late. Scheduled here for a good reason. :;

Meeting between houses investigating is up to the players.

start=30 fabulous use of a glory point from House Kytley. Big gains from PC houses in that thread. On top of that, House Coldbrooks and Drakeson become even more terrifying militarily.
Prince Daemon will be delighted, perhaps it is time to turn his eyes to the stepstones once more if the iron mines are repaired...

Though I must admit to confusion. We came straight here by horseback, so I can't see how you could have heard our news already. I almost dread to ask, but what *have* you heard that you would feel your life would be at risk from *me*?"
he glances across at Baelon. "
Well, okay, us, but still."

So far:Reader wrote:- Awareness (notice) – to watch for abuse of process by fellow peacekeepers – TN = lowest Thievery/Deception attempt rolled to detect it. If you beat any other Thievery/Deception roll by three or more, you may choose to detect that miscreant instead. Potential to increase Peace and award experience towards notice, depending on how discoveries are handled.
Arlyn wrote:- Thievery –
Nathan 14 +1 peace
Raynald 14 +1 war
Samuel 20 +1 war
- Deception
Raynald - Deception roll (Bluff) to pretend best of intentions + Treacherous: 6d6k4+3 15
Samurel - Deception (Act): 5d6k4+2 15
Theomore - 22 (if treacherous applies) + 1 war
Most other tests are TN9 or have a TN9 associated. A little consolation for almost none of us beating PCs would be nice, maybe being aware of NCs who otherwise would be committing theft or Acting/Bluffing. But wouldn't, because they can't find an opportunity when the PC is...aware. Or something.Arlyn wrote:- Awareness (notice) –

As an aside, I would want to add bonus dice from Notice and make it my hound instead of me, but after everyone who wanted to rolled Deception or Thievery by this point, it would be meta. If I can just use my dog unless otherwise specified in the future, just say the word now.

I don't understand. I thought Yoren thought highly of Corrine. Now he's saying she's more flawed than anyone else he knows. Seems a drastic change.

Re: Game Discussion
Yoren does think highly of Corrine, but saying that she's flawless would be lying, and by giving her a more negative light he hopes to make Baelon back off. It does Yoren little good to be the just man if Baelon thinks he plays favorites. It's not just Theomore thats capable of altering the truth slightly

Sorry, I should have clarified first
Yoren really needs to work on his ploys though... I believe that he will need to develop a less righteous side in the next chapters, for now he simply considers bad deeds...
