Yoren really needs to work on his ploys though... I believe that he will need to develop a less righteous side in the next chapters, for now he simply considers bad deeds...
Sign up for professor Theomore's bastardry 101 class, student enrollment will open shortly after the conclusion of this chapter.

Day 4 rumours uploaded, with Day 4's official event hopefully later tonight now that I've confirmed player actions have mitigated one of my events (appropriate houses will receive some bonuses) but not prevented it.

As Ice-Cub once rapped (not the bit about banging down these backsteets, that makes less sense in this context).
Narrator characters can do it if they put their backs in to it!
It = wild schemes.

Unfortunately, there's no difficulty given. It seems we're going into it blind. Appropriate, methinks.

Re: Game Discussion
Well, Reader indicated that he would be putting up the full mechanics tomorrow, so we will probably know more later... still, this could be bad for a lot of us... though at current looks like we at worst end up with fatigue/injuries, my guess is fatigue for fail, injury for crit fail;
that means probably no worse for us than 2 injuries - maybe more if we fail/crit fail in stage 2?
Well, we shall see...

Wounds are an option too, but those who roll well on endurance/healing can mitigate the damage and you've all got destiny.
Everyone was warned that the gloves were off.
Mechanics have just landed - it's a complicated thread (and no-one understands it but its woman, John Shaft?). Feel free to ask questions here or to flag any issues/inconsistencies to avoid cluttering up the roleplay thread.

Alun the innkeeper being added to potential casualties/fatalities.
Can't believe I forgot to add him after scheming about it for so long.

Can we roll to have him not be save-able?

Regarding the values for the Coldbrook bonus - is a fatigue really higher-cost than a wound?

I don't know if we should wait for Coldbrooks to choose if they use or not Value 3 after their rolls to save a PC

Spending a destiny point to "
alter a scene"
and making some stealth/sleight of hand rolls etc would probably do the trick. I'm all about creativity.
The above said, creativity is risky. As with Athelstan's death from interfering in the investigation, this is a high risk strategy! There will be limited sympathy from your narrator at any consequences from failure. Gloves are off compared to story one.
This kind of thing is fun, but may end up with heads on spikes and a big influence hit to your house if you fail.

No need as penalties apply to rolls then House Coldbrook saves you (with sand and heavy cloaks to cut off Wildfire's oxygen). Same for healing rolls.
Roll away players, the pain train cometh!
Let's get this party/fire started.

Very pro the idea, and even more pro the consequences of success/failure for making a fun story.
These singing household objects sum up my feelings on the matter:

As someone asked: Coldbrook wildcard skips right to the top.
Those guys worked damn hard &
smart on this story thread and generously shared the proceeds with everyone else.

Well deserved too, so I will wait for their list, but do my rolls and hope for the best

Re: Game Discussion
Because who to rescue depends a lot on who rolls the higher, and you want rolls in by Friday night, I would strongly suggest that people state their preferences for saving as early as possible.
